strange wintv hv-r 900 problem

since i got my new setup my motherboard/os does not recognise my external hvr900.. when i plug it in i get "unknown device" but it did work, just went down stairs and put it on my other pc and it works fine... both systems on win7 64bit... it has worked before i got my new set up on win7 so i am unsure why its no working.. any ideas?

I had the same problem before with the hvr900 and win7 x64. Just download the latest HCWdriverinstall drivers, install it & then plug in the device.

when i try your soloution it says "driver have not been updated. compatible hardware not found" <click to exit>

Have you tried different usb ports? Failing that I reckon the last and proberly best thing to do would be to perform a new clean install of windows. Then install the drivers.

Im using HCWdriverinstall 2.7.25229.0

Think I also reinstalled windows then drivers and it worked, that was a few months ago.
