Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

in vanilla momochi has by far the was akuma player. his comeback on mago in sbo2010 was legendary. the japanese actually went to korea tournaments in the early lifespan of sf4 and took their money.

cammy is a bad match for seth, because of her damage and option selects. but xiao hai is a genuine godlike player being the only foreign player to win something at sbo.

There's a big world out there with regards to fighting games, I've only really caught on in the last few weeks. I always thought of it as USA Vs Japan before but we're starting to see other countries now like Korea, China and to a lesser extent Mexico. Read something pretty interesting that the team Cafe ID who had multiple members in top 8 at EVO for KoF XIII with 1 of them actually winning it all don't do that well in the KoF scene back in Korea apparently they barely win anything. Just so many killers out there that haven't been discovered yet, hopefully now with companies sponsoring more people we'll see more hidden gems at tournaments.

I still feel Momochi was the best Akuma player before he switched.

Infiltration was so impressive though.

Yeah and Momochi's Akuma was a much more grounded style too which sets it apart from the mixup heavy vortex BS of others.

When Daigo picked Akuma up during the early days of AE2012, I thought it felt very similar in style as well.

Yeah, it was similar, but felt more like ryu with an air fireball and dive kick.

Momochi had this class with akuma, it was just pure footsies, no dirty setups, just class.

Wish he stuck with :(

Yeah I read that he didn't want to play such a mixup character hence he switched.

Though occasionally he will use him as CEO has shown.

He still has Ken too.

One day I'll finish this project at work and pick up fighting games agan. Been well over a year now, but there are no decent games to really grab me anyway.

What's in the pipeline that's intertesting/popular?

So went to Vs Fighting @ the weekend, never seen so many Akuma's in my life. Plenty of Infiltration lovers in the crowd.

Don't know how people play this game on PS3, very notible lag compared to Xbox. You even get massive slow down when you are awarded an achievement. Bad!

Good day out though learn't a lot, made me want to carry on playing.
Elrasho you'll be glad to hear an Abel won.

I'd like to see his/her Abel, got any footage?

The PS3 version has a lower resolution, some worse textures/shadows, 1 frame of input lag and drops the frame rate during cinematics. That's it, nothing game destroying. Not sure on the achievement thing though, as the 360 version drops frames during an achievement too.

Akuma is no surprise though, in tournaments the best character in the game is always going to get rinsed.

Weird... I play AE pretty often on both consoles and I don't experience this lag you're referring to. There's 1 or 2 fighting games that are clearly superior on 360, UMvC3 being 1 of them but I wouldn't put AE on that list.

Just read up on the VSFII feedback and it looks like all the complaints were from Marvel lagging on Zero's lightening loop on the PS3 version rather than SFIV.
