Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Lol ggs mate, I realised once I chose Cody at the end there that I didn't even know his moves. :o If you ever want me to select (or not select) a certain character just message me. Ggs again, I'm off to bed now.

ggs adz, Jesus I have a hell of a lot to learn from you guys.
Hopefully I can improve, playing you and Distorted showed me how much I really suck lol :p

Need to calm down and stop making stupid mistakes.

Thanks again Adz, your Seth is sick by the way. I hate him already :p

Don't worry about stupid mistakes at this stage, the more you play the less you will make. My Seth is rubbish compared to some of the Seths I've played online, but he does have some tricks such as sonic boom after a knockdown then teleporting behind you and punishing as the sonic boom lands. He's tricky to deal with if you haven't got experience against him but that will come with time.

Don't worry about getting beat a lot, we have all been at the receiving end of a thrashing but that's what will make you improve. :)

Yea I remember that teleport after the Sonic boom lol, was sick.
I have fought a few Seths online but yours was the best Id seen so far.

Im just glad I beat your Cody at the end, didn't want to go out like that, getting beat by my own character PHEW!!!! lmao :p

I will def hit you up for more games, and yea would like to play against more shotos, need to learn how to get in more.

As Distorted was saying to me, I was playing way to Defensively and jumping in way too much, thats not Codys type of play, starting to get some of his BnB's timings down now too.

May be worth watching a few youtube videos of good Cody players to see what they do/don't do, I don't think we have anyone on here who mains Cody. Training mode to learn some of his basic combos is a must, because eventually you will start to automatically bring that into your game, it just starts to come naturally whereas at first you will thinking about it too much.

Just send me an invite if you ever fancy some, like I said if I'm on it will usually be late. :)

I think Seth's boom + teleport mixups can be avoided simply by not quick rising.

Search for Sasaki and Momochi Cody on youtube. Plenty of videos to be watched.

Link to a Cody beginners guide on shoryuken.com can be found here. Might be a starting point.

Thanks mate, I have watched a lot of Momochi's gameplay, (His fight against Diago's Ryu was my personal fav) the guys a genius with Cody. He dose a lot of FADC through fireballs I have noticed to get close to the apponents. Really need to practice that, I have never tried it.

His combos are crazy and I think Im not ready for FADC's yet.
But I love the character and Im determined to make him work.

Drunzer has explained frame traps to me, so Im a bit more familiar with it now. (I think lol)
I will go in to the lab tonight and keep trying his BnB's and look over that guide.

Thanks again mate :)

I would work on basics first before worrying about frame traps. Start by jumping forward at opponents less unless its a safe jump, learn what anti air moves Cody has and hit people if they jump at you, learn a bread and butter combo you can hit confirm with such as cr.lp, cr.lp, cr.mp xx criminal upper, learn the properties of each of his ultra combos and how to land them, same with super, work on approaching opponents without just jumping at them.

Will do mate, cheers :)

ggs Deathjumps. My advice to you would be use Cody's ant airs to stuff jump in attacks. Also learn to block/counter cross ups. He is some simple yet very effective combos like cross up mk, cr.lp 4 times into uppercut. Keep practicing mate and don't let getting beat put you off :)

Cheers buddy, ggs, you really gave quite a beating lol, I can't really say anything about your able as you beat me with all the other characters quite convincingly.

I will take all that advice on board mate, cheers :)

Back to the lab me thinks

Hmmmmm.......so apparently Capcom vs SNK 2 PS2 version is available on the Japanese PSN Store.

Not exactly the best version, but hey, any one with a Japanese account could easily pick it up if they want to.

i dont anyone here but me cares about it. i have the best version (dc) though but no online play:(, although i can play with a stick instead of the awful dc pad.

still my top 3 favorite fighting game of all time.

I played this years and years ago, can't remember if it was on DC or PS2 though as we had both in the house. Really fun game if I remember correctly, would love to see a HDR of this sometime with online play.
