Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

ggs Jonny, you're still not anti airing buddy -_- You finally remembered that back strong in our last game, you need to start going to that earlier. If the person you're playing thinks they can jump in on you whenever they feel like it that's such a horrible feeling in any Street Fighter game. I dunno if I'll be able to get you fellas out to my house tomorrow because I have a bit of DIY to do downstairs, if I haven't killed myself after that I promise we'll get atleast 2 sessions next week.

ggs mate, Yea I noticed that near the end when you were purposely jumping in that you ment for me to anti-air.

I was thinking too much on my bnb's which I managed to lad a couple of times. I missed twice due to bad lag in one game.

Meh still a work in progress.

Cool, sure if you can't get us out to yours online will have to buddy.
 
Really hoping somebody here can help me, I'm going to be in San Francisco for 2 weeks in February. I plan on travelling upto Southtown Arcade and spending a few days there playing, I have also realized though that Eightarc are situated in the bay area. Aslong as it's not too far out of my way I'll probably stop by their store/building and pick up a stick or 2 as I really like the Eightarc sticks.

My concern is how am I going to get these home? I have never went through an airport with an arcade stick before and I'm assuming because of how tight security is these days a few questions would be raised about it. If it was just a case of them scanning it and me saying yes that's an arcade stick and them letting it go that's obviously no problem but the last thing I want is them taking it apart and looking inside it incase they damage anything. Would I be better taking it on hand luggage or checking in? Would appreciate any info fellas, thanks.

I would think if you packed it in your checked luggage it would simply be scanned, however I have never traveled with a stick so I don't know.
 
Not a problem with checked in luggage. Just don't do anything stupid like try to bring it in the hold luggage.

You do know that the eightarc sticks are just re-branded Qanba sticks? Once you declare your imports and pay VAT you may not save any money.

I really like the design of the Eightarc Ivory and I've been looking for a backup stick for a while now, that's really all it is. As far as I'm aware nowhere in the UK sells them they would have to be sent from the states, thanks for the advice guys.

We played a long time ago when I hadn't been playing for very long, I think it was back when I used to play Bison a bit on the side. I was pretty bad and you crushed me, I'll happily play you again though. I owe Adz some games aswell, I'm hitting TTT2 pretty hard right now but we'll get time either this week or next for a set.

EDIT - I actually think we played when AE2012 first came out aswell, I think it was you anyway. You beat me in that set too.

ggs, Elrasho, don't know what happened there, twice it said you left the session and for some reason I cant join any sessions you invite me too only when I invite you to mine.

I dreaded it when you kept picking Dhalsim, but at the same time it was great to learn the match up as I have NEVER played a Dhalsim player ever.
I like the way you play a lot of characters I never normally play against.
Hope to get more games like that mate cheers.

Adzs, I sent you a message saying I was going to be two mins and then you went straight offline, :( (gutted lol).

I don't play on the weekends (because my very understanding Fiancée would divorce me lol), but I'm on every night Monday Thursday, and normally on until about 2am or after. I'll be up for any match's :D

How can she divorce you when you're not married? Anyway yes ggs. You adapted to my Dhalsim well and stared reading my gameplan :) You need to use Cody's cross up a lot more. There were countless times I was knocked down and you could have crossed me up but you decided to retreat instead. Cody has awesome pressure tactics.

AS for the disconnects, it said "the host has left the session" for me?? :confused:

Yea it said the same to me, weird!!!

Yea I need to start doing cross ups I have spent a lot of this week in the lab continuiosly doing cross ups in to either crlp, crlp, crlk xx cu or crlp, crlp, crlk xx M ruffian and for the first time have been hitting them some what consisitantly, and only beginging to transfer that in to my game.

I think I haven't been doing that because I play a lot of my mates who are shotos and fear the wake up uppercut or EX uppercut.

I take it Dhalsim has no wake ups??

Also how do you block his Ultra, do you have to stand or just stay out of the way altogether? I know when I blocked low you destroyed me, so I just stayed away lol.

U1 regular block but best to get away because you can be hit low or sims jumping hp will hit high.
U2 command grab. Jump/backdash

Been away a while with real life stuff. Really lost most of my skills but I'll be on quite abit more now than I have been in past month or so.

Sorry for not responding other night Distorted was like my first night back and I was grinding abit of ranked to see if I could still play. We'll get some games in next time bud.

Lots of good games ahead I'm sure, Calgary is 7 hours behind us so you'll probably be staying up late if you want to watch deeper into the brackets.
