Bit of a random Saturday night question, but does anyone know where this phrase actually comes from/history behind it? My boss and I were discussing this a couple of days ago, and try as I might, I cannot find out the origins of it! Next step is to go and camp out on an English professor's door, so would be very grateful if you could save me!
