Stupidest thing you have seen someone say on Facebook

i blocked my own sisters posts due to her needy whiney updates like "hmmm that's that then", "oh well" etc stupid posts to get people to say oh no whats up  boils my blood!

This.. As a result I've not got any of my nieces and nephews on my fb..

I've seen some annoying things on fb but one person in particular was a friend of my wife who was going on about her sad loss and how distraught and depressed her life was and that she couldn't go on. That the last year had been tough.. It was like a cry for help. As i red it i could help feeling for her.

It turned out to be a family pet.. Now I know here are animal lovers out there but this kind of subjective attention seeking behaviour annoys me. Regardless of how I feel about animals there are limits and she certainly shouldn't have done this a manner as to make people think it was something other than what i was.

I found there were a few people like this.. i keep fb to very close family and friends.

Hah, given the timing, this cropped up last night:

People being jailed over what they post on facebook is the most stupid thing about it, even when they are posting on their own profile.

Does anyone have a link to that picture where the guy gets the first cutting response to a banal status, the next person has a go at him for it, and he deletes his comment so it looks like that person was replying to the initial post? Everyone then jumps on that person for being horrible. Was very good, and showed up the stupid, over-the-top things people post sometimes.

A couple that have just sprung to mind, from people I'm no longer friends with are along the lines of 'How dare you talk **** behind my back. Man up and say it to my face'. But it's just posted as a status, not on someones wall as it should be. So basically **** talking without letting them know it.

It's hard to beat that girl who got her boyfriends face tattooed on her arm, posted it on FB and her boyfriend found out through that and chucked her.

That one had me in stitches :D I personally don't log into my FB unless it's important.

Or the girl dissing her boss but forgetting he's her FB friend and then being fired over Facebook :D

I love FB and Twitter for that, they're like dragnets for morons. Where else do you get people openly advertising their ignorance?

"Hi! Im an idiot and should be ignored!"

Why, thankyou very much!

I don't have FB, but my sister has one and she changed her relationship status to "in a relationship" before she told any family members. My mum only found out months when she happened to check her own FB page and saw the buddy feed etc. I mean how sad is that, to inform FB, but not the family?

P.S. - the imgur link on post #2 gives me 500 internal error.

maybe you are a **** family to her

I add somebody add me as a friend and the first post I saw was detailing his experience of a bike ride where he came across a Muslim Family so the story went on about them being muslim (obviously illegal immigrants) and how he shouted to get past (obviously couldn't speak English) so he just rode past and clipped one with his handlebars. As it was his country, his cycle path and too much pandering to the muslim agenda

His mates went onto applaud him by saying he could have done with knives on the wheels like a Roman Chariot.

Quite shocked with that

LOVE IT

Facebook is not exactly known for its own insightful conversations. Maybe it would be easier to say. Name one insightful discussion you have seen or been a part of on facebook. 99% of the comments on facebook are pointless narcissist drivel aka stupid.

Repeat weekly, ad infinitum.

I HATE these types people, I sometimes just keep them on there though because watching their tragic and pathetic lives trudge on and on gives me a small sense of satsfaction.
