Sub £200 compact digital recommendations please

I need something for work just snaps mainly , nice and easy to use good results without a lot of messing about.

I was looking at the cannon 610 powershot or the ixus 55.

You clearly don't need any more suggestions if those are what you have been looking at

Find a canon in your price range and buy it Ixus's are very small and don't have creative controls (manual features). The same can be said for any Nikon. You can't go wrong with them.

Alternatively the Fuji range are good. As are Panasonic, and also Ricoh.

Not that i know a great deal about Camera's, but you can get the Ixus 60 and 750 for around the £200 mark if you look around. The only reason i know is that im also in the market for that sort of compact camera, although im thinking abount the slightly more expensive Ixus 800.

Thanks for the imput, I went to a bbq last night and 1 of my mates had an ixus 40 old model, it seemed very small, a bit too small maybe, is the powershot 620 bigger and would it be as easy to use as the ixus?

It is. Its about the same size as the old A70. They both have Auto modes so they will be very easy to use if you want. Plus with the 620 you have the ability to learn real photography using the Tv/Av and Manual modes.
