Hi,

Firstly I have the Cambridge Audio azur 540r amp and Canton CD-1 speaker set.

Noticed that my sub isn't working anymore. Spent a while in Widnows to get it working and had no sounds, and then when I just did a tone test using the amp again all speakers work except the sub.

I have double checked all connections and the sub is definately switched on.

Not sure what to do from here really, any suggestions ?

Thanks.

if you dont hear the sub when playing the amp's built in test tones then its one of threee possibilities. 1) the amp is faulty. 2) the cable is faulty. 3) the sub is faultly. While its not impossible, its it uncommon for the 540r's amp pre-out to fail and likewise the cable shouldnt fail unless you are constantly playing around with it. my money is on the subwoofer.

Double check the connections anyway, make sure the sub isnt accidently set to another input if it has multi inputs. Make sure its switched on :p

Try a different rca cable. try plugging something else in to the 540r's sub pre-out if you have anything to hand. Another amplifer & speaker, set of pc speakers ect, that will varify the amp's sub output.

thanks, luckily I just called Richersounds and they said just to bring the sub in.

At least then they can test the sub and cable and hopefully narrow down the issue,

Thanks agin for your suggestion though :)
