So guys....Success has been achieved!

I RMA'd my 8800GTS 320MB and after a total of 27days with the manufacturer I was called today from the etailer I purchased from that the replacement card has arrived and it will be sent out today for delivery tomorrow! Now I find myself in a bit of a predicament!
Do I keep the card and sell the x1800xt 256mb on my hands or do I sell the 8800GTS and keep the x1800xt?!

Now the thing is I am going to Florida mid August but having a look at US pricing it isnt actually too disimilar to ours, we're talking a £30 difference here! So I could potentially buy something over there.

I think I do know the answer you all will give though but anyways at least the Point of View Rma didnt actually take too long I guess. Seem pretty quick and despite replacing the cooler and then putting it back on they still couldnt tell ;) anyways happy with the end result, just the wait has sucked to see wether I would get a replacement or not.

Bear in mind you can always RMA it back to the manufacturer rather than a retailer if necessary (as long as you have the receipt).

But for speed, it might be worthwhile having a UK retailer if something does go wrong again.

I would keep the GTS to get the best out of the current games, and flog the x1800. Perhaps you'll then have enough to start saving for the next gen stuff :D

Thanks guys, currently working through all the financial rubbish just now for the remaining £600 of spending money and since I grabbed a healthy £135 for my old mobile on that auction site yesterday im in good stead before the end of July wage :P

May just keep the 8800gts and flog the x1800xt for around £60!
Lets be honest at my res I cant do much better :)

Another side of me fancies just getting £155 for the new card and then just waiting until crysis and going the double wammey! its quite a hard decision tbh! lol

Sell em both and buy a GTX. An EVGA GTX will be circa £60 cheaper over there than over here due to the great exchange rate we have atm and you can RMA with EVGA with no problems at all.

Nice idea W3bbo never thought about that one tbh :D but I think the GTS will go first since I assume it will be shrink wrapped(unless they have just replaced the card itself) and still in unopened condition so should sell for a nice sum :) then the x1800xt just before the holiday
