Sucker Punch! Hot girls, Insane CGI, Robots, Samurai Robots, guns, etc!

Thinking back since I saw it a while ago, I think I'd give it a 7/10 - quite an enjoyable film, with some attempt at an interesting plot, but obviously the main attractions being crazy action scenes + hot girls. However, I remember thinking a the time that some of the action was a bit disjointed and a little hard to follow - it sometimes just ended up being a whirr of knives and fallen baddies, with camera changes every 2 seconds making it hard to follow.
In response to SkeeterUK regarding her dancing, I've read that they intended to include dance scenes but ran out of time in post production. Snyder says the scenes will be finished in time for the Bluray.

Personally I would prefer them to be left out - a little mystery in such an in-your-face film would be a good thing. Also, in the story her dances are meant to completely mesmerise the watcher, but I can't imagine any real dancing slotting in to the relevant gaps in the movie without looking a bit cringe when they all are left open mouthed.

I'd agree - I think it would be a mistake to include dance scenes.

I dont care about this, I want hot girls naked!!! lol Seriously, come one though! Everyone has got wind of it now and all directors and producers want to do these days is make a profit. Sli Stallone said it after he released Rambo.
I kind of feel that with the whole over the top-ness of the film it would have improved it if they just went ahead and had some naked girls. while it was sort of over the top in some aspects, it was then very restrained in others (i.e. the lack of nakedness), and I think with the idea, keeping it all over the top would have been better.

They wouldn't get the 12A rating for the kiddies though. I thought it was a bit violent for a 12A in my opinion. I'd prefer longer fights than some boobs bouncing around to be honest. Also, the robot train fight was boring.

Seen it twice now, will watch the extended cut for a third time.

Loved it tbh and was surprised how much story was there, given the reviews. Most seemed to judge it purely as a comic book film based on the action stuff, without giving the back story a second look.

Obviously, that said, it's not Citizen Kane, and the editing and plotting could have done with some work. But even so against the reviews it got IMO it's vastly under-rated and I worry that it's rejection simply makes film-makers less likely to take risks in future leading us to more formulaic Hollywood tosh.

File it as a 'guilty' pleasure for me, along with DOA: Dead or Alive & Transformers 2 ...

Finally watched this last night weird film tbh, goes without saying the action scenes were very impressive and the girls themselves looked amazing and although areas of the plot weren't explained and the very little actual dialogue I enjoyed it...... I think :/
