Suddenly, my PC sounds like a jet engine and won't boot.

For no reason (as far as I can tell) whenever I now try and boot my PC on the modded 6950 bios it makes a noise like Catrina has come back for more and refuses to boot despite being powered on. I change it back to standard bios (with the switch) and it seems to be working fine.
I didn't have this problem over the past month of using the bios just fine- if that is in fact the cause- what could the problem be?

Id suspect one of the shaders you originally unlocked has failed

Well ****. Is there any way I can test this?
Since I can't exactly RMA for something the component was never supposed to do anyway.

Well I found that the hanging may be due to me turning off at the socket each night. The lawnmower noise and dead-on-boot problem though is still very present.
Is there nothing I can do to diagnose this?

Switch the bios switch on the 6950 to set back to default and see if it boots then.
