Suggest me some good anime please.

looking to get back into anime after many a year away. i used to love the guyver and moster city is one of my faves but i havnt seen anything for years also love GITS and GITS2 though the second seemed to be much more commercial. I also loved armitage but i never managed to see the sequal.
I noticed something the other day that took my fancy called Ergo proxy but im yet to source it.
So suggestions welcome, i dont mind subs or dubs either will do.

You've probably seen it, but Evangelion is the one of the best series I've ever watched. I'm new to anime so it's the only series I've watched yet.

Also, there's a huge anime thread in this section which gets quite a lot of views/replies, so you might want to try there also.

1 season with 26 episodes. There is also End of Evangelion, which is a film that is also excellent.
