If I open my loft ladder will hot air rise from our house into the loft and lower the house temperature?


Or will trapped hot air in the loft distribute around our house and increase the temperature?

I shouldnt think the hot air in your loft would drop down and warm up your house. Iirc, hot air always rises. In theory, your house should get cooler.

If you have a fan, the ones that stand upright. Point it out of the window. That way the room you are in will eventualy become cooler, as the fan will blow the warm air out side.
