I think Fabio is better positionally and less aggressive but Rafael is better going forward. I'd play Rafael behind Valencia but Fabio behind Nani on the right.

There's a good article on RAWK about this and the truth is that most business doesnt get done until we're into July and beyond that. Go back several years and you'll see we've never signed more than 1 (or so) players before July.

The Van Persie rumour is most lively BS but I'm not really surprised if any of these are true. He's been with us for 7 years and in that time he's only won the FA Cup and the community shield! He's a fantastic striker and could walk it to just about any team. On the plus side, at least the board will have a **** load of money!

Would suck if he had to retire at Arsenal and only ever winning an FA Cup. I can see why they would want out while they are still young.
I don't see Arsenal winning anything next season with the way things are going.

RVP when fit is easily the best goal scorer in this league imo. Him being fit has alluded him for almost 4 straight seasons. If a really big offer comes in id be tempted to cash in and get two strikers who will play regularly/

Haven't spurs wanted every striker from Italy and Spain?
If spurs had proper strikers in the CL, they might of done better.. not sure how against RM but anything would have been better than Crouch.

There's so much rubbish in the back pages this season that I wouldn't believe a word of any of it from anybody. There was an article in The Mirror the other day saying Nasri was "desperate" to leave Arsenal, yet there wasn't a single quote from him, or anybody for that matter. It's lazy as Hell, there are plenty of things to write about they don't have to make up absolute rubbish.
I think Cesc has a high chance of being sold, if Barcelona make an offer which is acceptable for Arsenal. I see Nasri signing a new contract and van Persie won't be going anywhere I am absolutely certain of it.

RVP IIRC was made the same promises as all our top players the last time he signed a new contract, IE hesitating to sign and Wenger says, don't worry we'll make some signings and improve. I've said for a while theres only so many times you can promise real title challenges to keep your best players, and get worse every year and bring in completely the wrong guys every season.
RVP's time is almost up AND he'll be pee'd off with the medical team at Arsenal. Look at other clubs, Barca and their lack of serious injuries and insane fitness. Not saying I think he'll go but I can certainly see him wanting to go.
Considering we had to make promises and persaude him before, losing Cesc, Nasri, Clichy and potentially Arshavin if reports of a bid for him are true, how do you think that will go down with RVP. THe players aren't stupid, they know without Cesc it will take improvements across the team in most positions to MAINTAIN the overall quality of the team, without Cesc Arsenal are not a top 4 team in their current state.
