Its such a load of horse****, I am entirely unconvinced by the rumours.

Walcott I think is a good player, just being played in the wrong position. He needs to be playing just ahead of RvP imo, and running onto everything like his life depends on it. Well, that is if he can keep fit, obviously.

I dunno, he's good but his goalscoring record isn't THAT amazing for a player at a top four club. Only once in his entire career has he managed more than 11 league goals in a season, even if you take his fitness into account he's still made 156 league apperances yet only scored 66 goals.

Now compare that to Wayne Rooney, who has over 100 league goals for MU in only 217 appearances. Or Fernando Torres, who has also scored 66 prem goals but from only 116 appearances, forty less than RvP.

Not knocking the guy but IMO if he was "easily" the best goal scorer in the league he should be wiping the floor with these guys on stats alone, not trailing in their wake.

Lolwut if you mean me, I was saying how daft you were being :p Of course you can compare player's seasons if they play in different positions, someone can have a good season in their position, someone can have a bad season in their position - therefore one player can clearly have a better season than another, regardless of position. It's not rocket science :p

I reckon we should start some rumours about the sports writers on Twitter, from what I hear a 'source close to him' confirmed that Martin Lipton was allegedly found naked apart from a clowns hat allegedly on Hampstead Heath at 2am this Friday.

You can't judge football by just looking at stats. If RVP didn't have his injury problems and had a solid run of playing I think his stats would be a lot different, he was the driving force of arsenal this season as fabregas didn't perform to his usual high level.

no but in the end that will be what define them... i agree to a certain point as someone like scholes used to score shed loads for UTD, then over the last 6 season dropped to a different role and the goals dried up for RVP this season will be his big one for him, he had that patch last season that was goal rich. Be nice to see if he can back 20+ in the PL,
