We had this discussion earlier about Downing IIRC? Fans' player of the year, bought recently for a lot, played very well last year, 20m isn't as obscene as everyone seems to think, especially comparing him to say, Henderson.

Out of interest, what do the Arsenal fans think about Wenger these days?
I'm pretty surprised by how many of their players are being linked away as well, and there's not much talk of them bringing anyone earth shattering in. This isn't meant as a wind up question - I've just seen Wenger looking more and more frustrated in recent years (water bottle incident, post match interviews), and not in a positive way. I used to really enjoy watching Arsenal, but now I find their pronounced lack of cutting edge a bit of a turnoff and usually only catch highlights or their CL matches - so I can only imagine the frustration of Arsenal fans.
Do you guys think a change in management would refresh the team?

20m is obscene Downing was the best of a very poor bunch, he wasn't SPECIAL by any means last season.
Selling our best player for £14m seems a bit daft.
I'd take him for £14m. Damn right I would.
£16m profit and he has achieved the trophies he was after.
