Been a nothing player all his career for me, if he was a right footer he would never get a game, and certainly not be mentioned in the same sentence as "twenty million pounds".

Same, hes a decent winger, nothing special, hes a wuss as well jumps out of every tackle, lacks consistency and pace, rarely beats his full back, poor at his free-kicks too in my opinion.

I would not care if we sold him, hes a nothing player as you said, 20 million, whoever pays that is a fool.

Adam Johnson is twice the player he is.

Out of interest, what do the Arsenal fans think about Wenger these days?

I'm pretty surprised by how many of their players are being linked away as well, and there's not much talk of them bringing anyone earth shattering in. This isn't meant as a wind up question - I've just seen Wenger looking more and more frustrated in recent years (water bottle incident, post match interviews), and not in a positive way. I used to really enjoy watching Arsenal, but now I find their pronounced lack of cutting edge a bit of a turnoff and usually only catch highlights or their CL matches - so I can only imagine the frustration of Arsenal fans.

Do you guys think a change in management would refresh the team?

No. I just wish that someone else was in charge of the money. Obviously he is running the club like a business and I would be happy for him to be my employee. But as a fan we would like to see some competition with the other big teams.

Rumours are bad at the moment because it is mostly which players are leaving but we will have to wait until the end of July to see if we are happy.

If Nasri, Clichy, Arshavin, Fab, Bendtner all leave.

We would have to make five signings just to be where we are now. Can't remember the last time we got five new players in at once.

I think Arsenal are going to be in a lot of trouble this season, they could quite easily lose CL football unless they get quite a lot of decent players in.

Everyone says we are going to lose our CL spot each year. Still managed to stay in so far.

Very concerned we might start with Denilson and Diaby in the centre though. Two players I wouldn't mind leaving. Not sure I would even notice they had gone if they did. Other than doing better overall ;)

Lolwut if you mean me, I was saying how daft you were being :p Of course you can compare player's seasons if they play in different positions, someone can have a good season in their position, someone can have a bad season in their position - therefore one player can clearly have a better season than another, regardless of position. It's not rocket science :p

No I wasn't speaking about you and I suspect your reasoning is probably what B&W was trying to make, he just did an arse about face way of doing it :p

Suffice to say I disagree that Albrighton as a winger had a better season for a winger than Smalling did as a defender.

So it looks like fabregas, nasri, and clichy are leaving arsenal. Which arsenal fan honestly thinks they will be replaced with similar quality...?

I don't think a change in management is needed but we do need somebody experienced to come in and run the defensive training sessions. As far as I know Wenger does the vast majority of training himself and the set pieces have been a bit of an achilles heel for us over the past few seasons, somebody needs to come in and give us a bit of a helping hand in terms of organisation, communication and giving players the responsibility to perform certain tasks, make sure everyone knows their job at corners and free kicks because we look absolutely clueless a lot of the time.

Regardless of what DM says, I think Wenger manages the club very well and that some people need to calm down and look at the situation properly without jumping the gun. Last season even though we finished very poorly we were in with a chance of winning the league for the majority of the campaign, we surrendered some points to teams which we should have beaten and that's an area that needs to be addressed. The way to go about that is with better defensive coaching and possibly a signing or two. I'm fairly pleased with the players we have, there's certain individuals that need shipping out but on the whole we have a good squad in my opinion.

Some of the criticism has been crazy and the way some people talk would make you think we are out of Europe, or we're a mid-table club but we're not. We're one of the richest clubs in the league, we have a huge worldwide following, and in terms of our players we are right where we should be in my opinion. There's not much else Wenger could have done in the cup final against Birmingham, once the players are on the pitch it's out of his hands, he can shout at them, give them directions, whatever, but when they're on the pitch it's on them.

He's certainly signed some duds over the past few years but if you don't take a risk then you'll never know, Denilson could've looked like a world beater in Brazil, he just hasn't performed here, the same with a number of other players such as Diaby and the incredibly disappointing Rosicky. For people to write us off next season purely on the basis of some completely made up rumours is totally absurd. Wenger knows that there is now a little bit of pressure for him to get the team working well, but last season we were second and first in the league quite a while, and we made it to a final as well, it's not as if we're fighting relegation or doing a Liverpool is it? People are saying Liverpool are back on the up, and yes Liverpool have started splashing the cash but look at the players they're buying, oh Jordan Henderson and Andy Carroll, let me just wet my pants with excitement...

I dont necessarily think they need to replace them per-say, Ramsey and Wilshire are brilliant young midfielders and Clichy just isn't that great anyway

Wenger will surely invest the money he gets for them but I wouldn't expect like for like replacements, more likely players like Chamberlain will come in

Just brilliant - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14006118

The president of leading Turkish football club Fenerbahce is one of about 30 people who have been arrested in an investigation into match-fixing, Turkey's state media have said.

Aziz Yildirim was held on Sunday, along with his vice-president, the vice-president of Trabzonspor and an official from Eskisehirspor.

Several footballers were also arrested, including at least two Turkish internationals.

Police are searching Fenerbahce's HQ.

Looks like we won't be selling Yobo to Fenerbahce now.

Oh go on then.... Care to point me in the direction of players of equal ability that can be bought for £8m?

lol anyone! he's been poor all season, no way worth 20mil! if he was from a different country he would never be in the prem... he's just english and very over rated and inflated priced player

I forgot about him.

I think most Arsenal fans have too. After van Persie came back it was all about him, nobody else got a look in. Vela is due back as well, doesn't look like he's getting sold. If he gets the time on the pitch then I think he could be a handy player, a lot of our youngsters get written off when they're still very young. Walcott for example is still only 22 years old, he's hot and cold I'd agree but he's always said his best position is central. One thing I hope Wenger does is listen to the players a little more, maybe not be as stubborn and give them more chances in positions that they like.

We also have Ryo Migachi coming in who has put in several MotM performances for PSV.

You can't judge football by just looking at stats.

Exactly, which is why I said I wasn't knocking the guy. I'm not judging him, just refuting the statement that he is the best goalscorer in the league when fit. The thing about goalscoring is, it lends itself very well to statistics because by definition to be the BEST "goalscorer" you must be scoring a lot of goals relative to the number of appearances you make when compared with your peers. You can't use stats to say a player isn't a great player, but you can use them to say they are not the best goalscorer.
