This is a very nice website... http://www.evertontime.com/ though technically it's wrong 'cos we paid money for Joao Silva and Gueye. But other than them two, if they are classed as youth players, then Heitinga was our last money signing. :(
 
Chinese Super League leaders Guangzhou are believed to have smashed the country's transfer record to lure Fluminense midfielder Dario Conca to Asia.

Conca, who has consistently been one of the Brazilian top flight's best players over the past couple of years, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal, according to reports in China.

While no precise figure has been placed on the transfer fee, it is thought Conca stands to earn a remarkable $10.4 million a year, which would see the 28-year-old join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as one of the world's best paid players.

The Argentine playmaker contributed nine goals and 18 assists in the 2010 Brazilian championship and picked up a host of individual awards for his impressive form, including the Prêmio Craque do Brasileirão - Brazilian Player of the Year - award.

"This is a good offer for the club, and words cannot describe what it represents to Conca. It will allow him and his family financial security in just two and a half years," Fluminense coach Abel Braga said, according to Brazilian website Globoesporte.

"This offer will put him in the top ten highest-paid players in the world. Let us hope that it happens. He is a guy who has completely identified with the club but this is a unique opportunity."

Conca will join fellow South Americans Paulao, Renato Caja and Cleo at Guangzhou, with the latter the previous holder of the Chinese transfer record when he signed earlier this year.

Indeed but I'd heard there may have been a problem with him gaining a work permit again, so I think Wenger was trying to get him a start in the national side, unless that's already happened now as this was a few months ago. :)

I also read that in Holland they call him Ryodinho. :D lol
 
Wonder what the chances are of an update on the Nasri rumours tomorrow.... if he's the one we're after for midfield I just hope we wrap it up ASAP so I'm safe in the knowledge that we've got at least someone in there for next season

Suffice to say I disagree that Albrighton as a winger had a better season for a winger than Smalling did as a defender.

did u even see Albrighton last season or is it because he plays for villa not Man Utd.

Albrighton was better than Smalling, and i saw both.

Yes I saw Albrighton last season, I saw him start the season very well but then hardly figure once Bent was signed

TBH I'm not going to continue on with you and keep dragging this thread off topic, judging by other people's comments on you over the last couple of pages it seems fairly obviously that I'm not alone in thinking you ain't got a clue what you're on about so I'll leave you'll there :cool:
 
Haha I was just going to post that -12millioñ??? Lol!

Saw the City rumour of 27million for Nasri + Clichy - that would be good business.
