Don't get the players that you want, then make up reasons why the other person you might go for instead is probably better anyway. You could get turned down by everyone, and manage to come out of it saying you didn't really want to sign anyone anyway.

It makes for marvellous reading every transfer window, I'm still laughing at Garcia improvement over De Jong and that random Brazillian right back (one day I will remember his name!!) were an improvement for Citeh last year!

I am saying I wonder if we will look at Higuain because we are selling Tevez. Not because we have lost out on Isco.
They play in different positions so I am not saying Higuain is better than Isco at all.
Of course we wanted to sign Isco, and its disappointing we aren't signing him. I am not denying it.
I thought Garcia would be an improvement on De Jong as I have admitted that hasn't been the case. When we signed him I had to give him a chance to play. As it has transpired he isn't better than De Jong.

, Considering Richards was injured and never makes it through a season without being injured we needed another RB, besides Mancini really wanted to implement 3-5-2 and Maicon is perfect for that formation compared with Zabaleta. For a small fee and average wages it was a no lose really. As it turned out he was injured a lot and suffered with the pace of the PL.

I replied to the news that Tevez is leaving by providing a perfectly good reason for why we might look at a striker who is openly available for a good price.

I could understand if I had said I never liked Isco let's sign Bale now because he's better and we can sign him.
But I didn't. I have already said I'm disappointed we didn't get Isco. Then when the Tevez news broke I started talking about Higuain as a replacement for him not an alternative to Isco. Don't know how anyone could read it like I was saying that.

What annoys me is,
Rooney complains that we sold our best players and have no ambition and he wants to leave.
We buy players, and go on to win the league convincingly.
Rooney complains that we've bought players and he can no longer guarantee his position.
He rolls around smoking, drinking and being the polar opposite of RVP who treats his body as a temple and wonders why?
I like to think he is a decent guy with bad advisors around him, but I doubt that to be the case :/

Utd need to move on from rooney, simple as that. If he was still the player that gave 100% enthusiasm (and regularly more) for his TEAM then fair enough- even ignoring the request(s?) to leave - but he hasn't been that player for a season if not longer.
The problems with his fitness don't go away (and while his enthusiasm and encouragement for the younger players continued - this was deservedly overlooked).
It also helps that there are also a couple of decent replacements on the market this summer (excl Cavani if the reports of his wage demands are true)
