I wonder Rooney would go if he were to leave united. He should just get his head down, at as a professional footballer and get back to his old form.

I can't see anyone in the premier league willing to match his current wages and rumours about going abroad? pah, as if someone like Rooney would fit into a foreign culture. The only place I can see him settling down overseas is in Magaluf.

Anyone know anything about Schurrle? Cant help but automatically assume his Chelsea career will go the same way as Marin's has and for 18m that's a lot of money for a bench warmer :/

Laughed yesterday when I heard on SSN, "Jose Mourinho makes his first signing of the summer"... :D

I think he has a bit more muscle and pace vs some of the other players, a tenuous comparison but maybe he's more similar to Victor Moses than Chelsea's other forwards. I've seen a little of the Bundesliga highlights on ITV and watched him score a good goal where he carried the ball from near the half way line and shrugged off the defenders comfortably. The times I've watched Germany and he's played I thought he looked good but not outstanding.

If some of the long running reports are to be believed he wanted to join Chelsea for a long time, so maybe that goes in his favour? and £18M for a German international doesn't seem too expensive? I think he could prove to be a good transfer, even if he isn't part of the strongest starting eleven.

Latest on Thiago (it's in Spanish so :p):

The future of Thiago Alcantara red paint every day United. The Manchester wants to close this week operation, which could be around 22 million euros. The English has decided to embark on the player, once received and evaluated the reports on the behavior and habits of the player away from the pitch. On the pitch, I knew all about him, for a little over three years that follow the track. Never been so shot and club executives understand English that Thiago is an ideal time-just proclaimed MVP of the Under-21 to hatch permanently.

Spotted this too: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...cantara-pictured-Manchester-United-strip.html Old Trafford target Thiago Alcantara has been pictured wearing a Manchester United shirt. In a recent interview with Thiago's father and Brazil World Cup winner Mazinho, the £15million rated star can be seen wearing a United shirt from the famous treble winning campaign of 1999.

MEN are covering it now as well: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.../move-thiago-closes-manchester-united-4711763

I just noticed this on the DM site too, has to be rubbish but we live in hope: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...do-meet-Manchester-United-officials-days.html

Apparently my fiancée's dad's friend saw Rooney at the Emirates yesterday.

Was he sure it was him??, could have been an imposter...there are a few fat Rooney type characters around:p.

Ok so Real have announced/unveiled Ancelotti as their manager, so with that being done the Higuain deal should be finalised shortly...i hope with fingers crossed. Juve look to have signed Tevez so their interest in Higuain should be non existent. Im just hoping that another team ie City or some other team doesnt come in with a last min bid to hijack the Higuain deal:(.

Come on Arsenal and Real, finish the deal off please so we can go and sign other players. Heard we are still interested in Fellaini but he wants at least £100k a week and with a £22mill buy out clause, the deal could potentially cost us £50mill :/.
