Underrated imo. Always been quite impressed when I have seen him. Nothing special, but a solid Championship player

Nah he's highly rated but we're using him as a CF, he hardly got the ball on Sunday. We just lack width and it seems we have no money to spend unless we sell. Gah.

The longer it goes on the less likely Bale is to go in my view. He's obviously injured, he's also obviously been told to keep quiet. I also think Real have used this as a ploy to get Ronaldo to sign a new contract, and I would be amazed if they can generate the money in a way to get Levy to accept a deal, £20m up front and the rest over 5 years is of no use whatsoever.

Bale has to be looking at the signings and thinking Spurs are doing everything that they can to push on to the next level which is all he can ask them to do. If the deadwood goes, which for once it actually seems like it may happen, and they sign a couple more players of the recent quality, then they really could mount a serious title challenge.

I agree although the skeptic in me thinks Sky has something to do with this. Would be great revenue for them knowing that a Bale transfer take place on "Transfer Deadline Day".

I think Real would have been in better position had they settled and paid for Modric outright.

Yoann Gourcuff is ready to take a paycut and move to Arsenal, we have been linked with him a few times in the past and Wenger is a big admirer of him. But not sure if we really need another playmaker in midfield as we seem to have a few playmakers there as it is but if hes willing to come to us on the cheap and wont demand high wages then i wouldnt mind seeing him play for us.

Still hoping that the rumours of Gustavo coming to Arsenal are still true but im not holding my breath...this summer we have already shown just how utterly useless we are at signing players:p

Do we really need a player like Gourcuff? He hasn't exactly set the world alight at Lyon and we have other more important positions to fill.

But then did anyone expect utd to be 4 days away from the season opener having signed no one of note?

Once I saw that we hadn't even bothered to register interest with Thiago and that we were bidding £25m for Fabregas I had my worries but thought no-one would be so stupid as to take over United and not sign top quality players in light of what our rivals have been doing.

C'est la vie. We will be fine with the team we have, we just wont win anything this season and depending how we do, Moyes may be shown the exit.

I would be surprised if Moyes got shown the exit if nothing was won next year ala Chelsea.

Interesting times though.

Fulham apparently set to sign someone by tomorrow or Thursday. Rumours it's any of: Osvaldo, Bent, Parker, Enoh, Cresswell, Deeney or Gargano. Probably end up signing Titus Bramble.

I don't think Chelsea have sacked a manager for not winning anything?
For being a bit mental or playing weird football yes but not for not winning a trophy.

I think Gustavo would be a good signing but I would still have liked a few more options from our bench.

Still have time to grab Cesar, Williams and some random striker :p

Hopefully Verm can return to his former self and give us that new signing feel that we are used to at Arsenal. :D
