if anyone wants to translate, on the official AS Roma site

The A. S. Rome S.p.A. announces that it has signed a contract with Tottenham Hotspur for the FAC
outright sale of the rights to the player Erik Lamela in the face of
recognition of an amount of 30 million euro. The agreement also provides for the recognition of
a variable amount, up to a maximum of 5 million euro for bonuses tied to the achievement of
part of the Players and the English Club of certain athletic goals.

He may have been, but hes featured once in 3 games, with Mourinho saying he's too tired, from what?

Two seasons in a row Chelsea have gone on to a Euro final and Mata has played in the euro's, olympics inbetween those VERY long seasons with little/no summer and then confed cup this summer. In essence he hasn't had a real rest for 2+ seasons.

He went from starting around 35-40 games a season to starting 54 sub in another 10, last season it was 60 starts and 15 sub appearances for club and country. But it's not as much the huge number of games, its travelling, being on call, he was barely used in the euro's last year, one sub appearance, but he was with the team training during the summer up to the final. He may not of played but he wasn't being rested. Athlete's need an off season.

It's no surprise that a mostly uninjured Frank lampard had his only serious injury after two seasons in which he started 70 games, then 59 games with 3 extra sub appearances in both seasons preceding the early season injury he got the year after, the start of the season in which he also played in the world cup after two insanely long seasons.

Then there were people saying he's definitely leaving after not starting v Man.U, poor lad could barely walk after his 65 mins v Villa, no way was he going to start 5 days later :p

Eurosport and SSN have reported Lamela to Spurs is done.

Baines is what's needed in left back, Evra should be pushed into DM.

That would continue our tradition of playing people in the wrong position instead of someone whos natural position is there.

So wouldnt he still be training now then? and not really resting as it would be the same as the whole spain thing, Wouldnt it have just been easier giving him an extra months holiday, then bringing him back after the internationals?

Saves him all that travelling etc too.

IMO they get paid to play/train so should never complain there "too tired"

I play a match every week, with the odd occasion of a midweek game, do training once a week as well as 5 a side along with 3 5 mile runs a week and all my fitness does is improve. I dont complain with being too tired, oh and I also work too :)

Should sign baines and push evra upto midfield wing for the season. Hes so good going forwards and it would mean no welbeck there. Left wing would be incredible then going forwards.

And here we go!

Already plenty of questions about @SamWallaceIndy Leighton Baines story - completely reliable & respected journalist.

BBC Merseyside Sport ‏@bbcmerseysport 3m

BBC Radio Merseyside understands that Leighton Baines has asked Everton to agree a deal to sell him to Man Utd.

Nani to Juventus is now a 1-6 shot with the bookies.

As frustrating as he is, I don't want him to go. We're lacking flair as it is.

edit//

Paddy Power Italy have already paid out on Nani to Juventus.

What the **** is going on?

Nani has gone?!

RonaldON!!

Haha, does make me chuckle when I see the RonaldON or BaleOFF stuff lol.

Either way, its nice to actually here that things could be happening.

Im sure if Nani has been allowed to go we have someone lined up. I cant imagine us being happy with Zaha, Young and Valencia?

Unless of course Januzaj is gonna get a lot of first team play, which I wouldn't mind at all.
