Which is exactly what I said. It was widely reported that Baldini returned from Valencia after failing to agree a deal for Soldado that suddenly changed the minute Real put £86m on the table for Bale. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Spurs could have easily spent £40m odd gross with the sale of a few fringe players (like they've done) + a bit of cash from the club, like most clubs. Once the net spend figure was going over £50m it was fairly obvious that Bale was off though.

I suppose it's possible that Lewis loaned the club the money as a bridge loan until the sale of Bale is/was rubber stamped, allowing you to bring in the replacements before he goes. I find it extremely hard to believe that he gave £50m to spend on top of what the club already could/would have spent. As I said, unless something drastic happens in the next few days you'd have spent little to nothing let alone the £50m + tv money you claimed.

we were £3m off valencia's price, we sold parker for more! the main sticking point was payments. hardly something that's hanging in the balance of a failure is it?

your 2nd paragraph includes the statement ''like most clubs'' for a top 6 club, spurs have spent nothing like other top 6 clubs over the past few years. this needs to be taken into account as does our wages structure. the fact we've broken even on signings if/when bale goes is a good thing,

we still need cash for wages and a new stadium. the main thing here is to back AVB, that's what we've done.

any unted fans heard anything more of the chico to spurs rumour? talk of us tabling a bid.

All I have seen is that you have put in a ~£8m bid and we have told you to do one!

Who know. As far as I can tell, 95% of transfers that have actually happened this window (bar Bale) have been done quite quickly without the media getting much of a story in before its a done deal so I wouldn't read into it too much.

To be fair though, who need Hernandez when we have Welbeck playing every game!

Pardew expects Cabaye to turn up. Whether he does or not is another story. However Dechamps has kicked him out of the international team, which I can only salute him for.

Whatever is going on behind the scenes it needs to be sorted. Either sell him, or he plays on Saturday and puts in a world class performance.

I don't blame Cabaye for wanting to leave, the club is a shambles and ran by idiots. Arsenal is a well ran club, with cup competitions every season. The only problem is their fans who expect the world...

Has Arsenal got a new director or someone who dealing with transfers?

Cabaye may not be worth 25million to many clubs but he's worth a lot more than 10m for us.

Is there a team Arsenal have not ****ed off this window with transfer dealings and unacceptable bids?

From rumors and local Newspapers Sissoko seems to be ruling the roost and told the french foreign legion to pull there socks up.

Fair play from Dechamps tho. Told them they must be playing for their club end of story. How many drama's has France dealt with in tournaments because player drama?

Annnnnnd I am done with Harry Redknapp.

Paul Hirst ‏@hirstclass
Spoke to Ledley King earlier. He confirmed that Harry Redknapp asked him to come out of retirement to play for #QPR last season

King didn't accept offer because his knees weren't up to it, and he also didn't want to play for another team because of his love for #Spurs

LOL no but we do have someone who is dealing with our transfers, someone called Law or something.

LOL its not only Arsenal that are ****ing off teams, Real have done a good job of annoying Spurs with the whole Bale saga.

As for us narking Newcastle off with a bid for Cabaye, i agree we should have waited till the next morning after their game against City but Pardew needs to relax and not get so stressed about it...its just a bid FFS, get over it.

I dont think you lot have anything to worry about though, it seems like Arsenal have gone cold on Cabaye as hes not someone we need...you need him more than us in all honesty.

LOL our fans expecting the world is a problem is it??...id like to know what you fans expect?? at this rate trying to stay afloat in the PL by the looks of it:p..is it any wonder Cabaye wants to leave??

Am sure if the offer was decent Newcastle would have lowered their asking price instead you just peaved them off lol

Same with the Suarez and the 1 pound

Am sure deals would have been completed by now if the bids where slightly larger. Am not talking about massive sums of money here. couple of million more and both clubs would have become interested instead of ****ing them off

Fact is that we didnt think Cabaye was worth more than £10mill, if we thought he was worth more then perhaps we would have offered more.

As for the Suarez farce??, seems like either his agent or someone close to him informed Arsenal that bid a £1 extra and that will trigger his release clause when in reality there wasnt a release clause for Suarez. So i cant see how you can blame Arsenal for doing what this certain person said...if it was his agent then Suarez should sack him off and get a new one who understands contracts:p

Fact is this is how some transfers go, instead of crying about it like Pardew keeps doing...just carry on and ignore them if you think its worthless bids...its pretty simple but i suppose some managers cant keep their cool in front of the media...Wenger can also be accused of that too, hes flipped out a few times in the media regarding his contract and the fact that we havent signed any players:p

Just find it strange that there not even follow up bids.

Wenger keeps saying he only going to add special players but they cost money you cant nickel and dim when long term contracts are in place.

Pards is a muppet. I liked the way he handled himself at the start but he turning into a clown and blaming everyone and anything.

Still looking for this line he keeps talking about every transfer window

Pardew was annoyed because he lost his star player on the day of the first game of the season, due to an offer that literally everyone knew was never going to be accepted.

Cabaye may not be worth more than £10m to Arsenal, but clearly he's worth more than that to us. The bid was therefore pointless, and served only to disrupt Pardew's carefully laid plans, however stupid they undoubtedly were.

I've heard that Cabaye is crucial part of the rest of the Frenchies at Newcastle getting into the France World Cup squad. Or maybe that's what he thought...

Sissoko and Debuchy the only ones called up. I have so much respect for Dechamps for doing that. Hopefully it will open Cabaye's eyes and he'll get back to putting a performance in for Newcastle.

It's clear Arsenal are just putting silly bids on for players they don't really want, just to keep the fans happy. Annoying.
