Thiago would be a key player and also the chance to work with and learn from some of the best players in the world and playing with them every week.

One can only dream to play and learn off the likes of Gareth Barry, Scott Sinclair and face Richard Wright...:p

I'm just bored of the same **** every window. The team is getting progressively worse every season now and I'm fed up of us signing no marks to replace the average dross with more average dross.

The window isn't even open yet!

Yes it is...

There are two transfer windows in each Barclays Premier League season.

The first commences at midnight on the last day of the season and ends on 31 August if a working day - or, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.

The second transfer window commences at midnight on the 31 December and ends on the 31 January if a working day, and again, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.

Looks like Eric Abidal is leaving Barca after 6 yrs, his contract ends next mth.

Still no news on what Wenger and Arsenal are doing this summer, im hoping we dont leave it till the very end like we did when we sold Fabregas and picked up the utterly useless Santos.

Vermaelen is likely to stay and no news on Sagna if he is leaving for PSG or Monaco. Either way im hoping we get a decent RB in to replace him and next season Jenkinson should be starting.

Odd most papers say it's 1st June e.g. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2013/may/29/club-buy-transfer-window-open-thread?CMP=twt_gu

The BBC says 1st July, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/22451405 but you can announce a transfer before then.

I suspect that the Premier League say they can happen, but player registrations are held by the FA so transfers don't take 'technically' take place until then, or of course contracts generally end 30th June.

Ive always thought it was 1st July - but clubs can "come to an agreement" before that, although usually nothing is signed/approved by the EPL /FA in regards to transfer to x squad until after July

(Loans I believe can occur during larger windows, or it appears that way)

I think there are 4 teams that underperformed last year and can improve on their points tally from the season just gone.
.

Bit of over simplification if you ask me - Man Utd were not really pushing the boat out after Man City could no longer catch them, Im not convinced that had the points been required all the same players that actually played would have done so.

Fair to say Chelse and Man City under-performed for longer periods in the season, United also had terrible days "at the office" even from Match Day 1 (vs Everton at Goodison )

If his agent is saying he's happy to stay I'm hopeful he'll stay :)

I'd take anything his agent says with a pinch of salt. I think the only message he was trying to get across was that Suarez isn't/wasn't actively looking to leave, that doesn't mean that if Real (or similar) make an offer that he won't ask to leave.

With the utterly absurd "loyalty" payments these days its rare for any players to publically ask to leave ,because its not in their interest.

So many clubs seem to accept all of these little clauses hoping to get out of paying, which I guess is fair enough, but the whole transfer system has become so utterly ridiculous these days. Barry pushing his way out of the club, IIRC, still got a loyalty bonus because he didn't officially ask to leave, and IIRC something was going on with Fabregas being due a few million to leave, and they either knocked it off the price or he gave it up, I can't remember.

Quite laughable that clubs that love their little clauses could say get 5mil for winning a cup, and lose triple that in bonus payments on 5 players.

If you want a big powerful striker, Lukaku fits that bill imo. Chelsea clearly aren't going to use him and he could probably be got him for less than what they paid (18mill wasn't it?).

chelsea paid £18m for lukaku?!

i like the look of him. what i want at spurs is a striker with confidence and no fear. i remember manu's first loan game with us against liverpool and he scored 2 goals and looked so relaxed and confident. that gradually faded and never came back. defoe has confindence but he's too one dimensional and although he is good at holding the ball up, he's no real physical presence and not the smartest by a long shot..

Ah yes...the old Adebayor trick.

City fans thought the same when we signed him. I still can't believe Levy actually signed him albeit with a big helping hand from us. For all the talk of how astute as a business man he is in football he is he got royally had over.

Seems Suarez been dropping more hints he wants out, we as a club should just give him a deadline to make his mind up this is the annoying side to transfer windows :/

Citing the unfair English press on hounding him out FML. Irony is completely lost on this crank

Rumors that Galatasaray have agreed a deal with Nani for 9m.

Surprised tbh, I know he hasn't played much recently but I think surely he could play in a bigger/better team?
