Why is it a joke? If he wants to leave, he wants to leave. Can you blame him? He's one of the best players in the world and playing in a side that hasn't finished above 6th since he's been with us. We've had 2.5 years out of him where he's been our best player and if he does leave we're likely to get double what we paid for him. If he goes, good luck to him.

edit: and it seems the SSN story is from the press-conference yesterday where he says that he doesn't know whether he'll stay or not. No idea why the part where he says he wants to leave wasn't reported until today :/

MArca was reporting yesterday that an agreement with suarez had been agreed but none with liverpool. They made mention of the £40mil+ clause. It also mentioned that he would have to serve the rest of his ban in la liga. Seems a lot of the comments that suarez has made are in the foreign press, who knows what is lost in translation.
 
Let him leave, no player is bigger than the club and they showed at the end of the season they can score without him, Coutinho and Sturridge link up well, use the money to get another world class striker that doesn't throw his toys out the pram when things don't go his way.

It's weird, the EPL needs all the world class talent it can get, there isn't a huge pool of talented footballers that ply their trade over here. Instead you get this strange gleeful hatred from some from fans of other teams. Same with Bale if he goes, whilst I don't think he is 'all that' it weakens the EPL if he isnt playing for Spurs, or a.n.other domestic side.

Don't english football fans want the best players over here? Or are they happy with the likes of Downing and Wellbeck et all?

As to why SSN are running the 'story' today, you know they need to fill their quota of sensationalist bull **** so expect it to drag on for the next few weeks until its all sorted.

No chance of that without Champs League games unless we smash our wage structure and pay Man City style wages of £250,000 after tax.

I want Suarez to stay not just because of the goals, but for the regular embarrassement he causes to himself.

And of course the PR calamity that follows with it by both himself and Liverpool.

Without him we would have much less to talk about last season !

Because it is funny to see Liverpool getting embarrassed by him, time after time.

They are not threatened by him staying because even with him around, Liverpool don't have the consistency to challenge for the Top 4 nevermind winning the title.
 
The club look stupid now anyway, they backed him through everything and he's turned around and threw it all back in their face. Quality player, terrible human being.

Did you read the post I was responding too? I was replying to Newbie claiming it's weird that supporters of other clubs want him to leave - which if you read through this thread or several other threads, you'll find more supporters of other clubs saying Liverpool should sell him rather than keep him :)

No, I quoted your post and replied to that post only, not concerned of what others are saying in over 1200 posts in this thread of any other threads.

The club doesn't look stupid but he looks a massive ****.

It is all the same, torres, masch, alonso, and suarez. can just hope we don't let this drag on and leave it to the last minute
