Bale may have dived a number of times (but then so do a lot of other players) but even so that shouldnt be compared to a toe rag that bites a player, doesnt learn (as if this should be necessary in the first place), and bites someone else (again) even without considering the racism case and all that.

Its also quite sickening how he continally protests his innocence to everything - and then after everything has died down, brings it up again and again.

Yes the EPL would be a worse competition without the likes of Bale, no question. It will be a much better competition without Luiz Chomp Suarez

and yet if he played for your lot you would love him.

what a waste :( can't blame him though, I don't imagine his quality of life will be awful in Monaco...

Hardly if the rest of the team is going to be kitted out pretty well, might actually see some french teams doing something in Europe now.

Also pathetic that above, although wouldn't surprise me if it was the same as the Torres situation.

and yet if he played for your lot you would love him.

Don't waste your time

Wow, I thought it was all bluster on their behalf when the reports of him joining them first emerged.
I can't blame him though if the reports I've read are true that he'll be earning in the region of £35k per day tax free, and I think I'm right in saying there were complications with his 'ownership' too so it might have been the best deal for everyone.

I think it's a waste seeing as he could play for pretty much any team in the world in any league and he chose Monaco in Ligue 1.

But it seems like he didn't make the decision, the investment company behind him did.

They have signed some good players but there midfield and defence is still quite poor. They need to spend a lot more money yet before they can challenge PSG never mind compete in the CL.

Why's it a waste, if they're going to buy a ridiculously talented squad of players, compete strongly in Ligue 1 in 13/14, then compete strongly in the Champions League in 14/15? A year gap, then he'll be in the Champions League (probably) with an extremely strong team, earning more money than God.

Financially it's not a waste of course as, although he's only 27, he's only got a few years left of mega bucks.
But for career prestige it is a waste.
Ligue 1 means nothing at the moment & I doubt it will whilst he's still putting boots on and the CL can't be bought as cup competitions involve luck, so he may never win that.
He may well be using the move as a way of circumventing his ownership issues of course with a move to RM or the likes looming in which case it's not a waste, just a means to an end.

Odds on Fab's next club being Arsenal have crashed from 12/1 to 15/8 in less than a day.

Does someone know something?

Might be to do with Arsenals clause when selling him.

Only going by what was said on bbc site:

First option on buy back £20-25m

And if he decides to go to someone else Arsenal get 50% of transfer. So unless they sell him for over £50m then they are better off selling to Arsenal.

Personally I think he will stay another year maybe two. But to get Fab back for £25m would be great.

While half of the world seems set on ruining Cesc's reputation he's been their second best player his entire time there.

He's either been the he's been in the top 3 scorers and the top 3 assists in both seasons he's been there, joint second highest scorer last year and third highest assister(because Alves got a quite weird 16 assists compared to 6 this year and WAY behind on goals), and he was the 3rd highest scorer (2nd in the league) and 3rd highest assister again. In terms of goals + assists he's been second to Messi in both seasons.

Yet people are talking about poor form, playing badly, not starting games.... while creaming themselves over Iniesta with every run past 3 players before taking a selfish shot and failing to score yet again. There are players you understand the media crapstorm talking up them leaving, Suarez has been under attack constantly because he gets into trouble every game, Torres has been crap so so often its a joke, Fabregas has been better than most of a Barca team, starting more than Iniesta, scoring and assisting more than him, despite everyone saying he'd struggle to get games when he joined. Joining an at the time utterly brilliant Barca, and being the second highest scorer and assister in one of the best teams in the world.... and people are saying he's doing badly?

Its really odd, and this thing at the start of the season, every game the commentry and analysis was banging on about him being back up, getting less starts than Iniesta(he was starting more than him) and playing badly.... yet being the second best player in the team.... I'd be pretty shocked if he went unless there is some serious unrest in the dressing room between him and one of the bigger players there(Messi/Xavi/Iniesta).

Tonight's rags are reporting that we'll only sell Suarez for more than £50m and that the clause in his deal (£40m+ one) only requires the club to inform Suarez/open talks - yea, I don't quite understand that either.

In other news, somebody claiming to be Alex Pearce's cousin has announced on twitter that he's joining us. I've got a feeling she already regrets tweeting that.

It's alright Pool getting 50m, but without champs league football or much of a chance of it in the next couple of years at least, which top stars can they attract?

Coutinho and Suarez ;)

With a fair few others going this summer, we could be looking at £100m+ to spend and a very different looking squad this September compared to last.
