Fellaini would be a class signing for any team in the premiership. However i hope he stays at Everton but i doubt it.

but why? He's not a good enough footballer for the top sides, he has no defined role and he'd be an accident waiting to happen in any European game...

This same argument has occurred over on the man city forums. Loads on there believe a Fellaini and Toure midfield would be unbeatable and top drawer.

I just can't understand why!

He was moved from midfield upfront because he gives away too many fouls, cant read the game very well, isn't very fast or agile and certainly doesn't have the technical skill to sit deep and ping long passes out wide or forwards a severe lack of discipline as well.

Whoever signs him has to use him as a forward or its 20m+ wasted imo.

Surely it all depends on money. He certainly does come with a warning sign though, You'd have to constantly nag him to remember his discipline.

Rooney to Arsenal. 300k a week,

According to a very reliable souce, if we meet his Personal Terms he will be a Arsenal player. I think it would be a fantastic signing. He would fit Arsenal perfectly.

I AM BAD AT MATHS.

or the ability. He also doesn't play the holding central midfield role, I don't understand why people have this perception...?

I'm pretty sure I read in an interview that Fellaini himself said he felt his best position was DM and that Everton only used him as an AM because they didn't have anyone else.

Arsenal just need an out and out striker.. I dont think rooney is that any more. He's not shown that for Man U (though they've not really needed it with RVP).

Though he did put in a stunning performance against Brazil. :)

Is it not harsh to judge him for his robust style, when it's likely he's doing that because he was asked to. If you're asked to be a target man who competes strongly for loads of high balls, that's what you're going to do.

How does he play for Belgium? Has anyone watched a decent number of their games, to see how he plays in a team with a different style?

This...

He plays DM for Belgium, he prefers a deeper midfield role he has said this countless times, Moyes played him up top because we were struggling for goals and an attacking outlay.

In all fairness, Rooney hasn't had the opportunity to play as a striker much, especially this season, so I'd expect that to be the first thing on his "wanted" list if he goes to a new club! (well, maybe 2nd after wanting oodles of £££ :p)

Arsensal supporters, you can have Rooney for a nominal fee + Ox thank you please.

After all, Fergie did you a favour buying a wantaway striker in RVP... ;)

He is a better prospect than both Young and Nani!

They're not really at an age where they can really be thought of as prospects though, they are what they are. Chamberlain at the moment is at best average with no guarantee of getting remarkably better

My point was really if you're nabbing anyone from Arsenal then surely Wilshere is the only one left worth having?

True enough, but I dont want to be responsible for a riot in and around the Arsenal area for the next 3 months ;)

Fellaini camp, #efc & #afc all deny release clause met. Arsenal not in for Rooney or Cesar. Jovetic on radar but not near top #bbcsportsday
