Or they just want Dzeko?
For the clubs he's being linked with (i.e. Arsenal) he'd be a good signing but he misses far too many chances to play at the very highest level (i.e. Madrid). From what I read a few weeks back though I thought he was a cert to sign for Juventus?
Higuain got around 1 goal for every just under 4 shots, RVP got 1 goal for just over 5 shots.
Higuains was boosted by internationals, but so was RVP's, neither significantly. Higuain has a very very good goals/shots ratio. He just wasn't favoured by Moany face, and missed half of last season iirc with injury which is what let Benzema get established.
While looking up a few other top strikers we have, Lewandowski, 191 shots 39 goals, goal for every 4.8 shots. Benzema, goal per 6.6 shots, Messi, this year, insane 1 goal in evern 3.4 shots, last year, 1 goal every 3.94 shots, Higuain 1 goal in every 3.96 shots. Few if any strikers have matched Higuains goals/shots ratio across the past 5 years, except for this season. Of the past 4-5 seasons Higuain has had a better goals/shots ratio than Messi in 3 of them... not bad going. He scored 1 in 3 last year, something Messi has never done nor do I care, nor think its the ultimate showing of a strikers ability. I do however think that categorically proves that he doesn't miss too often, because, you pretty much can't name a player in football today who doesn't miss more often than Higuain.
he hasn't actually started what you would call a full season since before Mourinho arrived, and thats more to do with Higuain missing a huge part of Mourinho's first season through injury and Mourinho having his favoured striker by then. His scoring record for not starting more than half the league games, is pretty phenomenal, as is his generally 1/4 shots/goals ratio or less across the last 4 years, for not being first team, in his absolute best form the whole time and dealing with a bad injury.
I would welcome him at Arsenal although, we don't play the same way, his movement is excellent but we don't have the wide men to play in the same way Real have done in the past 4 years, nothing even close. You don't see Walcott power forward from the half way line and pick out a smart cross into the box behind the defence for people to run on to, not at all. Podolski is also more of a come into the box, pass the ball, make the run in behind and get the ball back from a Giroud/Klose type, not so much a goal scorer but a target man for fast/intelligent wingers to play off.
His crossing ability is underrated, he works hard, and can/will be excellent wherever he goes.
