Arsenal need to sort themselves out and hurry up with these record breaking bids for Higuain, Gundogan and Bender!

Hopefully something will happen, i read Wenger met Higuain and his father, who happens to be his agent in Paris last week to discuss terms and Higuain has gone on record to say Arsenal are a good fit for him.

Im hoping we sign him soon as Juve are sniffing around as well...again i want us to sign a few decent players this summer especially a decent RB to replace Sagna, who i hope leaves us this summer.

I don't even mind if Sagna leaves this summer, I just hope Jenks becomes the regular starter. I'd be happy with that and Sagna playing a bit more of a bit-part role.

I don't mind not getting Bender, and I don't really mind not getting Higuain tbh (though I do highly rate him!) but I think Gundogan is so vastly underrated at Dortmund, which is saying a lot, as he's highly rated!

I don't see our transfer policy changing much sadly even with all the recent PR from Gazidis and our apparently over-flowing war chest of doubloons.

Sitting here in July wondering what the hell is going on will not be that surprising (although of course I hope not :) ).

Daily Fail this morning says we're closing in on Fabregas and Lewandowski after being assured both players are interested....I'll believe it when I see a picture of them holding a Utd shirt with their name on it.

+1

Would be an awesome team but like you I just cant see either transfer happening (or Moyes spending best part of £70m on two players)

Problem is he won't play Jenks if Sagna stays and Sagna has been awful recently, more than just last season too.

I would really like to think that Cesc would not want to go to United.

I don't understand the Fabregas rumour at all, he's playing regularly for the club he grew up at in his home town with all his Spanish friends and is soon going to become an incredibly important player for them once Xavi slows down. Why on earth would he move to Manchester, it seems incredibly lazy journalism playing on the misconception of English fans that he doesn't play at Barca...?

It's quite worrying that the only players we're being heavily linked with are players we don't in reality have a hope in hell of signing

Ronaldo? Probably using our 'interest' to get a pay rise.
Fabregas? Why would Barca want to sell? Why would he want to leave?
Thiago? Again Barca won't want to sell and I'm sure can convince the player his future is with them

I can see it now come August all we'll have to show for our summer dealings is the Dutch Gareth Barry :(

I read that Sagna was reconsidering signing a new contract :(.

No way has he earned a new contract. He was one of our worst players last season. He looks so disinterested, its untrue. Does his contract expire this summer or next? either way, we should get rid. Promote Jenks or bring in another right back and have them fight it out.

Strootman is just the kind of specialist CM that you guys need though. He would fit into the team and any aims you guys have of progressing in the CL far easier than Elbows Fellani.

I think we will be fine. We have a strong 1st team for the most part and if we can actually cement a "first team" then we will be fine. Kagawa should get a lot more playing time and Zaha is coming in.

We will be getting rid of 2-3 players I would think so to bring in replacements of a better quality would require a little spending. Players like Nani will probably leave unless Moyes feels that he will improve his consistency.

We potentially have a very good team at the moment but we have too many wingers under-performing / frozen out.

Looks like the Aspas deal is done. Not sure what I think of that. Balague and a few others say good things, but his record in Spain isn't exactly stellar, and he's 25...

If Moyes wanted to keep Nani, the Galatasaray talks wouldnt have even started imo - but I agree that we have too many wingers underperforming. Zaha is "promising" at best, but I cant see him having a huge impact in the next season or so.

Really wouldnt mind Lewandowski coming in as Rooney is shipped out, not sure it will happen though, and the squad would lose some versatility perhaps but sometimes the squad was too versatile for its own good in some respects.

I think Zaha will be good for us. He will potentially have more space to work in next year as this season he has been singled out by opposition.

Getting rid of Rooney and Bringing in Lewandowski and another winger would do me fine. I have thought for years that our versatility has been our greatest strength and weakness. How many teams winning the CL are using as many players as United. In the league that can help but there is quite a lot to be said for having a set of players that know what each other are doing.

None of the top sides in the world regularly change half their team between games and that I think has to stop with United.

That opposition is Championship standard. Not Champions League standard.

Having seen him get completely bossed by a young, inexperienced left back I'll be very surprised to see him make the grade.

I'm not sure on Zaha. He's strong and quick, and has good feet. The reason he gets bossed by "worse" full backs is that he beats them, then comes back and tries to beat them again and again rather than playing it quickly. If he can learn to get past them once and play it, he could be a decent player.

There is always that risk but I have seen every player get shut down by a defender on their day. I think he will come good for us personally but who knows.

I would much rather we used Zaha than Young or Valencia based on last seasons performances.
