I'm not sure on Zaha. He's strong and quick, and has good feet. The reason he gets bossed by "worse" full backs is that he beats them, then comes back and tries to beat them again and again rather than playing it quickly. If he can learn to get past them once and play it, he could be a decent player.

I watched their playoff campaign and CP look very poor without him from what I can see. He looks very unsupported when he beats a man and looks for an outlet which hopefully won't be an issue next year.

That opposition is Championship standard. Not Champions League standard.

Having seen him get completely bossed by a young, inexperienced left back I'll be very surprised to see him make the grade.

Very much agree with this, from what I have seen I have not been overly impressed, couple of step overs then running straight into any intelligent player, his hype got the move not his ability.

I'm willing to give Zaha a season or 2 to prove his worth before writing him off.

He's what 19? and he's already declared not good enough for the PL without ever playing in it :D

Indeed, but then people seem to be calling him the savior of our wide play problems. Suggesting Nani out and Zaha in would do anything but weaken us is frankly ridiculous. He's no more the solution our wings than Powell is to our problems in the centre. They're both a few years away at least probably.

Mike Williamson to Cardiff for £2m! I will believe it when I see it...

Douglas on a free would be an ideal replacement, however we seem to be blessed with CB at the moment, but you can never have enough...

I don't think anyone has, have they?

With signing a 19 year old winger, people need to give him time, I don't expect him to walk straight into the team by any stretch, I also wouldn't expect him to be thrown on the scrap heap without having played a game.

What people forget is, he had a target on his head as soon as we bought him, he was having lumps kicked out of him anyway in the Champ because he's a tricky winger, I can only imagine that intensified when he joined United.

I tend to go off what his own fans think of him, that watch him every game and from what I've seen they rave about him.

To be fair Nani has been complete **** so anything would be an improvement (Im not trying to suggest he was any worse than the other 2 1st team squad wide players though, but his contract situation makes it feel worse)

The name has gone, but there is a foreign youngster who was on the bench for Utd's last EPL game, who is also meant to be a pretty decent wide player (Im not sure who would be more likely to get 1st team experience a Championship player, or a youngster from Utd's own U21 side)

I'm pretty sure that's just Paddy Power trolling. :(

I fell for that......for a split second

This window is more agonising than ever and it hasnt even officially opened yet

I'd like him to stay. Overall he has been awesome for us and I think it's harsh that one supposedly bad season has made him a target. Jenks should be starting though.

I agree. He has plenty to offer and we need competition for places, so this will be good for the 2 of them. Obviously if we're going to sign a world class RB my opinion would change, but we're not are we!

Biz where have you found that his wages are around 45k a week, is it per chance bluemoon? Considering the only other source I can find on it is the Guardian suggesting he'll be on twice what he was on at Sevilla.
