According to Dutch reports Chelsea have reached an agreement with Vitesse over CM Bieber.
He is soooo cute -

I've said this before but I dont understand why the supporters of these rich sugar daddy clubs get so defensive when people question how much they're paying a player (or in the Chelsea supporters case paying agents), it's like they refute the claim their club is backed by a billionaire that allows them to throw money around

There's absolutely no chance in hell any player going to City with only be on 45k a week, let alone someone who cost the best part of 20m to sign

I'd like him to stay. Overall he has been awesome for us and I think it's harsh that one supposedly bad season has made him a target. Jenks should be starting though.

He's had one good season, since then he can't cross, shoot, defend, run the overlap properly, he's lazy and stupid and even when he is in the right place at the right time(a rarity) he's prone to mistakes. As for hoping a 30 year old with no resale value stays when he wants more money and hasn't even bothered trying to improve at all this year despite his contract situation. he's looking for a longer contract on good cash to end his career, I'm rather fed up with players who see Arsenal as a low pressure, riding out your contract while not bothering or pretending to be injured club where the players can take advantage.

I don't understand the Fabregas rumour at all, he's playing regularly for the club he grew up at in his home town with all his Spanish friends and is soon going to become an incredibly important player for them once Xavi slows down. Why on earth would he move to Manchester, it seems incredibly lazy journalism playing on the misconception of English fans that he doesn't play at Barca...?

I've said it since the very start of the season, about 2-3 league games into the season, with Fabregas starting all of them, the media were talking about him not being first team, lack of opportunities and poor form.... before the season started after a fantastic first season at a new club.

The "he's unhappy, not first team, not playing well" rumours have been said all year, the past 4 weeks has been non stop articles saying pretty much word for word "after falling down the pecking order at Barca its believed he may want to move".

He started the same number of games as Xavi, more than Iniesta, WAY more than Villa/Sanchez. He started more league games than any other Barca player and was joint 3rd or 4th highest starter in all competitions.... to suggest he's not first team, not being picked or in bad form is laughable. In terms of goals + assists in total, he's been second only to Messi in both seasons, in terms of goals he's wiped the floor with Xavi and Iniesta. He's had an excellent season but the media, before the season even started have simply stated repeatedly based on no fact that he's both in poor form and not first team.

I really don't know what the deal is, after much hounding Cesc finally said something along the lines of, I want to stay at Barca I would never leave unless Barca told me to get out, after weeks of press saying he might be leaving this is a simple statement telling the press the stories are rubbish, which has sparked a whole bunch of new story headlines. On ESPN its "Cesc places future in hands of Barca" and plenty of websites are trying to spin it as, Cesc kinda wants to leave but its up to Barca.

I mentioned the seeming media agenda at the very start of the season, whats disturbing is despite the information being so easily available, people just believe the press, decide he's in poor form and decide he's not getting games.

Two years ago people said he was mad to leave and wouldn't get any games, for two seasons he's played as much/more than Iniesta and only a couple games less than Xavi, while outplaying two of the best midfielders in the world.... but he's not doing very well apparently. The way the media is portraying the situation is, beyond bizarre..........

Biz where have you found that his wages are around 45k a week, is it per chance bluemoon? Considering the only other source I can find on it is the Guardian suggesting he'll be on twice what he was on at Sevilla.
There is nowhere official as I explained pages ago,
I believe he will be on a small basic wage that is heavily topped up with bonuses. This is how we are doing the contracts for players now and it is why in the space of a few months we have signed up Kompany, Aguero and Clichy etc.

Nobody will know for sure what it is and certainly not the Guardian, no matter who is signed and by which club they always say "trebled his wages" "doubled his wages" and so on.

No-one has any idea what wages are paid as they're all guesses gleaned from a scale the media use to glamorise it -

Basic PL players earn £40k pw
Better PL players earn £80k pw
Better players moving to a better club demand £100k pw
Best players at best clubs running out of contract earn £125k pw
Best players at best clubs in contract earn £150k pw
Best players signing for best clubs demand £200k pw

There's obviously no proof of that as its all ******** but it amuses me that people believe what they hear about any individuals wages as there's rarely any real evidence.

So when you said 45k a week....you guessed?
Yes. Did I say otherwise? as JohnnyG says nobody outside of the people who did the deal know what a player is played. So everyone has a guess and it is this guess that spreads quickly depending on who you are and all of a sudden becomes the correct figure that everyone believes.

I said a few pages ago that he was after a bigger wage in 2010 from Sevilla around 48k and I don't know if he got that or not. If he did then I think he would have signed on the same wage but as I say with big bonuses that he wasn't getting at Sevilla and also he will be taxed less as well meaning he is making more money straight away.

I don't really understand why people immediately assume he will be on 70k+ when that just doesn't make financial sense anymore for us to do it that way.

I'm going to go out on a limb here Biz and say that no-one believes he would be on such relatively small wages (apparently) as they think money is the only reason he would sign for Man.C. so he must be on more.

**bearing in mind that he has left his hometown club where he has spent his whole career and has prior history of being homesick.

See /\
If he'd signed for the other side of Manchester on such reported low wages it would've been because he wants to better himself or was a Man.U. fan as a kid or always wanted to play under Fergie etc.
He (or any player) has just as much chance achieveing any ambitions he has now, as long as they're good enough, by signing for either Man. C. or Man. U. FACT!.
