Does that mean windows will boot up before i have pressed the on button. Just a side note what happens when ur motherbaord already has a m.2 heat sink do these ones come pre applied to the drive

So forgive me these ca not go directly in to a pcie slot? I have a older motherboard on the Haswell family that has a NVMe bios and a free x4 Gen3 slot.

Will this not work? You need a dedicated M.2 port or what?

Damm the price per gigabyte has fallen so much i wanted one... £480 for 480GB is still a memory.
I paid £135+ for a 500GB BX100 some years ago now I can get a decent Chinese 480GB for £35, totally worth it though for the fast load times, nice to see them getting cheaper, maybe within the next 5-10 years HDD for normal consumers will be totally dead.

Nice! Liking the look of a 1TB Aorus if I make the X570 jump :D

Hopefully with firmware updates, it'll get quicker.

So fast you'll need to run a benchmarking program to tell the difference ;)

Aorus do look bling, though links still go to OcUK home page.

In theory, the difference of speed over Sata 3 SSD should be enough to tell a difference . PCIe 3.0 didn't offer enough speed to get to the point we're you see a difference .

Only really good for sequential speeds IMO. Still using Toshiba TLC which has pretty bad QC IOPS. Better with a Crucial P1 as an OS drive - just put a heatsink on the controller or it'll throttle relatively quick.

Still, would probably buy one once the price drops a little and if I move to X570 :p
