Hello all.

I feel I must post this as a great indignity has been visited upon the earth by the muppets at IGN.
You can believe me or you can not, its really up to you.

I personally know the team that created super-rub-a-dub, very well.
And what had happened is that IGN have FULLY REVIEWED a build of this game that is at least a full 2 months out of date.
There was a **** up and the build they were given was an awful beta.

IGN have been made aware of their transgression and have STILL not taken the review down.

They gave it 3/10 and it it deffinately worth more.
It is not the awful bag of spanners they claim.
All I ask is that if people read the "pre-review" on IGN is that they ignore it fully.

Thanx for your time :)

So there was a **** up and they were given a wrong version, but its IGN's fault for reviewing the copy they were given?

Glad we cleared that one up then :p

Well no.

The point is that IGN have refused to take down a damaging review even though they have been told an error has taken place.

Still....... over a hundered views to get the 1st sarcastic remark, that's not bad going :)

This kind of crud happens all the time. Could it be that IGN thought they would leave it up as they have been having a run of negative Sony stories of late and thought this would be a nice addition to their collection?

Once again it just goes to show how you can't beleive everything you read - unless it's on these forums of course ;)

But yet, they made the error in the first place, not IGN. I dont know if its good or bad, but IGN like anyone else can only review what is put in front of them, and lord knows there has been a ton of games released in the last few weeks.

If it was a ****-up and IGN received a beta version, then surely all the other reviews on other sites will be positive and people will realise that IGN were wrong.

I've not read any other reviews of this game (had never heard of it till 30 seconds ago). What rating has it got from other sites?

edit: why do you consider IGN to be muppets? Surely it's the people who sent out a beta version instead of a gold version who are muppets?

Sounds to me that you're trying to defend your friends. As admirable as that may be, I don't see why IGN are to blame in this situation.

To be fair to IGN, they have been given a duff copy, review tonnes of games and do everything else.. they have a huge site to run and a low-grade game isnt going to be top priority..

If there is a massive outcry of injustice then im sure something will be done.

If IGN were totally wrong to condemn this game then they wont have to be asked to take the review down, they will do so to protect their own reputation

Some good replies :)

I am defending my friends as I know about all the late nights they pulled to get this game done. Indeed the initial review was not IGNs fault as they DID review what they were given, (although how the reviewer couldn't tell it was a Beta version is beyond me)
But as I mentioned before, they were told an error occoured and they didn't take it down.

The reason you haven't seen it reviewed anywhere else is because all the other sites were told about the error and are waiting for the proper gold version :)

At the end of the day, it is IGNs integrity at stake, but I just wanted to defend my chums hard work and if I can tell a few hundered people about the error, well that's a start !!

Seriously If I had been given NO SWEARING beta code to review I wouldnt be happy either... Not only did they have to sit through and play a crappy beta version of a game, but they have to do it all again with a less (how much less nobody knows) crappy version... Sounds like bagloads of fun to me...

Exactly, 1080p splitscreen multiplayer at 60fps - anyone remember this?
