Just got back in, was a good day so cheers all. Nice to see some old faces, and some new too :) Also thanks for the passenger rides.
 
Just at the services getting some food. Great day, good to meet people and some great cars :)

Dont worry about the bumper Meanboy, most of it polished out and all thats left is a chip like the countless others I am sure it will pick up over time :)

Depends on the speedo, in the Manta i'm only 1mph out at 90! (going by the sat nav)

Still need more power though, saab turbo lump next me thinks, though that will entail a new rear axle, prop and gearbox.
On the plus side they are cheap as chips to tune to 300 bhp+

Hi guys, just got back, Thanks for the great turn out today, was a bit epic fail on my part today for the 2nd pub, but I think we have discovered a new meeting point/passenger ride point. Also shame about the weather, if people want to meet up a bit sooner I will happily organise a mid summer one for end of june/early july and then another for end of sept as usual?

Yup.
The gf's rover over reads a good 10% with the same sat nav.
Might be because mine has had an engine swap since it was built.
I know with the kit car i'm building, if I was over reading by anything like most normal cars it wouldn't even be allowed on the road ( pretty sure the limit is a 3% discrepancy)
 
100 in a 60 is hefty fine and a ban, more than likely. :(

It just so happens that both times I went past a police vehicle I was doing bang on the speed limit! I've already gotten 3 points this month, don't really want any more ;)

I saw it beforehand too as I got lost on the way to Tesco as my satnav seemed to skip straight to the Seven Stars rather than the first destination. By the time I got to Tesco though everyone was leaving so no time to warn anyone

I came up that road 40 mins before we went back down again to the pub, didn't even notice it. Hope it didn't bone me too :o
 
I didn't notice it first time either, luckily I was stuck behind traffic moving at 40 though so when I did notice it I was well under
