Supernatural/Paranormal - Do you beleive

If aliens are watching us, I would take a guess that we are still to primitive and our culture/religions are too violent, the repucussions from aliens showing themselves will result in civil war, religious war, and paranoia.

What an absolute load of tosh.
You watch too much Star Trek and their Prime Directive.
I'll wager that if you took a poll around the worlds population most would believe in Aliens anyway.
Explain why ET landing would cause wars?

I highly doubt it would IMHO

I think religious sides will cause conflict (within themselves) as the aliens are definite proof of no god, and political side to it will cause conflict between countries to attain technology. I don't think we're ready for a "first contact" meeting.

Heres my bit: we live in England, most of our family is in the Caribbean, New York and Canada. My mums family have always believed they were a bit odd when it comes to the supernatural. Since i was born, my mother has proclaimed about 5 times over the years "someones dead, i dreamt about a dead family member, usually her eldest brother who died before i was born, once her dad who died in 83 and last time her mother who died in 94 or so and that usually means someone in the family died", within days there'd be a phonecall, letter and within recent years an email stating someone in the family died.

11 years ago my mum miscarried very late into pregancy..... 3 or 4 times BOTH my mum and sister have seen a young girl (ie the age it would have been at the time) in dreams or in the house. Also, when my mum went to see one of those....err people.... cant remember what you call them. The lady, before she even sat down to ask who she was said theres a 10 year old girl screamin mummy upstairs, and shes holding hands with someone in there early 80s.......my nan :o

Now im not sure i "beleive" but thats crazy for someone that has NEVER met my mum to have seen both my nan, and my mums lost child. I mean you can think my mum and sisters dreams of the girl could be just wishfull thinking etc but for someone else to say it.

My mum has also been woken up by her mum in dreams at strange times that link to her.... ie once at 3:43am... which was her house number... strange!

Much like God, I'll believe in ghosts when they're proven to exist, beit through some scientific advance or whatever.

As for people who think they were visited by ghosts or poltergeists, I think its just things they, or others, do that simply don't transfer from short term to long term memory, so they forget about them and think something else must have done it.

I've also done a Ouija board about a year ago and it didn't really do anything to be honest. We managed to get a name - Umlo - but nothing else. It was quite funny actually.

But what I swear to God I have seen is a UFO.

I was about 10 years old and saw one in the sky, the real deal, above the estate we live on. It looked very stereotypical to be honest, and I managed to catch it for about 20 seconds. I rushed inside to grab someone to show them but as soon as I went back outside it had gone. I can remember it very clearly and can see it right now. But I don't for one moment think it's aliens!

This is something I've never agreed with either, the automatic classification of UFOs meaning something from another world.

If it flies, and you can't identify it, its..an unidentified flying object..

Totally agree with you there! People jump to the conclusion a UFO is an alien aircraft, whereas it's simply a unidentified flying object.

Funny how they all started cropping up around the time of WW2 when technology was being developed at a phenomenal rate, for the time. And I suppose if you were going to develop technology in a war, it would be to upgrade a weapon/vehicle of some sort. Maybe a plane...? ;)

In my house the door-way of the kitchen and bathroom freak me out. The bathroom is downstairs and the kitchen door and bathroom door are on either end and if I go in the kitchen I get a horrible feeling coming from both those areas from either side of me.

Pics? :)
