also ill probably need 3 new tyres this month, at about £130-£150 each, including getting the rims done. Extra couple hundred quid isnt gonna hurt for 4 new rims and ttyres.

They obviously are for £50 each :) Unless he got a special deal.

As for the original question, superT's look great on ST220's, especially on a black one. I am not sure i could justify £1000, but i guess you could claw some of that back from the sale of the original rims.

Aye, I imagine 18" rims are quite dear. The tyres alone are going to be £100 or so a corner at least...

I'd look into getting your existing wheels refurb'd first.

You are buying old undesirable rims....rather different

New, very desirable rims, ahthenkyew.

I have a bargainous deal in the pipeline; they should be nearly £900 for 4 but I have a slight chance of £200-£350 for a set.

Also the possibility of 9x13 rears.

Ooooh, yeah.

Ok you got a bargain deal then, but dont scoff at £1000 a set for alloy wheels. Most half decent sets come in at this sort of price range. :)

Out of interest why are yours going to be reduced so dramatically?

I wasn't scoffing at the price...merely at paying that much.

They're stock from a company that went nipples skyward...It's all being sold off and a friend of a friend is managing it...
