ok, I've got a clients system here, its got an ASUS P4S 533 MX (shows on the Asus website as "P4SP-MX", only difference being that this one supports SDR as well as DDR)
I've had a look on the Asus website but its not got a list of P4s that this baby supports!

anyone here got a idea what I could put in here to replace the P4 1.8 thats recently died?

This is a discontinued mobo; you will be able to find details from the manual available in the downloads section of the Asus website.

It has both SDR and DDR and a 4x AGP slot. It supports all 533 fsb northwood B's and 400fsb celerons, along with the earlier 400fsb P4s. This cpu support list is also available on the ASUS website, here:
