When I use my PC it is really slow to load webpages.
But when I use any other PC in the house its perfect even the wireless PC's (this one is connected directly).
But when I'm downloading a file off a good site, it takes a while to start it up but it does download at full speed.
I don't know if this is relevant but internet explorer takes ages to start, or open a new tab. Firefox works fine, it just loads the webpages slowly.
If I'm watching a movie on my 2nd display it actually starts stuttering when loading webpages.
I have a decent spec PC, Xp2500, 1gb ram etc so it shouldn't drain it that much.
I have run every adware progrom, disk defragmenter virus scan etc.
Loaded latest drivers. Removed all unneccesary programs from startup and services.msc. I only have the windows firewall so i can't see why that would slow it down.
I can't think of what else can be causing the problem.
And what could be another symptom. When playing LAN games like call of duty 2 we are getting a ping of 40 and above, no one has less.
