I think there was an issue with former members of GSC not being able to reach an agreement with the rights owner of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., so they broke off (which they were going to do anyway) and formed the development company, Vostok Games. Therefore, because the way events went I guess they had to take a different direction, hence the multi-player that's currently in development. I can't say I'm excited about playing it though.

Been playing the closed beta for a while. Have to say they have done a decent job with it, with well timed updates to sort out any issues. Only had a few crashes since I started about 3 months ago.

Managed to get one, but it only gives you 24 hours premium account access which i think costs about 90 gold. So if you have played long enough you might have accumulated enough gold to get a 24 hour pass.

Survarium - Anyone playing it?

Surprised to see no discussion of it in here since it went open beta?

Even in it's current basic multiplayer FPS form I'm really enjoying it. Beautiful graphics, really interesting map design, really great gunplay. Weapon firing sounds are amazing! It's HARD, like really challenging.
