Looking to buy a surveillance kit similar to the ones sold in the display cabinets at the big electronics diy store.
A few questions which I would appreciate your feedback on
1. Presumably the only way to feed power into each camera unit is through the PSU's supplied with the unit which means drilling holes into the house and feeding off one of plugs?
2. Some of these cameras can transmit wirelessly, but I have been told that such transmissions are not encrypted and can be viewed by anyone with a 2.4GHz video receiver which is able to pick up the signal. So should I go wireless or wired, bearing in mind that the cameras are going to be fair distances apart (in excess of 6-10m apart I would say).
3. I am looking for a setup which enables me to login via the net to view the cameras from a remote PC (I was told such a thing exist however please do feel free to correct me if this utter tripe )
TIA!
