Was out earlier doing some work for a commision. All good stuff, but not particularly creative, so I stopped for a bit of a "break" and got this. May do a bit more work on it later, some dodging and burning, but what do ye' think?

Instantly in love with it! I love the IR effect on branches.. Too much and it ruin's it but you have got it spot on with the correct ammount.

I love the angle of the swing and I very much love the attention in the forground.

soon to be fav'd on DA :P Very inspiring work..

Very excellent work mate. Reminds me of that shot I did (might have pop back there sometime)

Yes, it's a toughie to get right - same with the swing blowing in the wind. 8 seconds @ ISO 200 was too blurred...
I used an 87 filter for this - tried it with an 89B which gave me a much shorter exposure, nice in a way, but the IR effect wasn't intense enough for my liking.

Tis' quite similar to your shot, isn't it? :D

Do you think perhaps it needs rotating clockwise a touch?

How you get the commision mate. Interested to know, looking for some work experience myself for next year, must get my portfolio in order.

word of mouth ChroniC mate - infact despite my massive advertising campaing [worth millions!] (read : lots of business cards about the place, some dodgy mini-posters) all my work has been via word of mouth. There's more to a job than making x amount of money from it - there are more jobs to be had!

Am leaving this image as it is for now, still something a little off with it that I can't put my finger on.
