Hi,

I currently have a P35-DS3 Rev 1

- Can't get it booting in another multiplier then 9 on my E2160 unless it's a really low FSB.
- 4x1GB overclock is a bit of a problem as it's to much strain on the MCH.
- Can't get it stable above 3.2Ghz but I have the feeling it is the motherboard not the CPU

Now my question do you think it is good switch from DS3 to a Abit IP35, cause I'm looking to upgrade to a Quad or Dual wolfdale later and I'm thinking my DS3 might gonna have problems overclocking that.

A lower one because it's not unlocked. You can only go lower. 8 / 7 / 6

Yeah the F12 bios, it's that latest one. I have a Rev 1.0 though, dunno how much that matters.

I can get a Abit IP35-E for 45 pounds incl vat and shipping. Would that be a good deal? It is second hand though. Not using raid.

I saw the northbridge cooling isn't the same as the normal and pro version. Is it still decent enough?
