Switching between 2.1 Speakers and 5.1 Headphones

H'lo,

I've just got a pair of Zalman ZM-RS6F surround headphones and I have a set of Creative i-Trigue speakers connected to an Audigy 2 Value soundcard.

Now, I need a way of switching between the speakers and headphones without pulling my PC out and going to the soundcard. I did buy a Speedlink Sonic Media switch but this isn't what I needed- should've read the description properly!

The headphones connect via 3x 3.5mm minijacks and speakers by 1x 3.5mm. I can change from 2.1 to 5.1 in Control Panel no worries, I just need a switch!

I've searched the usual cable stores and not found anything. If anyone can make a recommendation for a switch or some sort of breakout box for the soundcard, then I'd appreciate it!

for a temporary solution, if you've got a semi-decent onboard audio chip, you could plug your speakers in to that and your headphones into the Audigy and switch them in the windows sound settings.

Hahaha! That's worked a treat- what a great idea, it didn't even cross my mind!

I've connected the 'phones to the on-board and my speakers to the soundcard.
