What's supposed to happen? My old ISP is still working. I guess at some point it'll stop and I'll have to enter new credentials to my router? Or do I need my router switched off for it to work?

It'll stop working and you'll have to change the credentials (and any other settings) in your router. I'm not sure whether the changeover is instant-ish, or whether there's a gap in service.

You should be able to use your new credentials today if its the "changeover" day, there is an overlap usually where you can use both but the old one will stop probably at the end of the month.

I think there could be a 2 hour downtime if you're migrating by your MAC code. Don't know about any overlap though?

When I migrate clients from one ISP to another I just change the credentials, reboot and it usually picks up the new account if the line is ready.

Yeah, that's my understanding too. I didn't think the old credentials would work when the new ISP has been set up though which means no overlap?

It used to be that the old one would stop working and you'd have to switch. For a while now the old one's continued to work for a while until you used the new login, at which point the old ones should be removed.

Everytime ive migrated, its always been done during the night (i suspect), as everytime ive got up and switched on, (on the day of the migrate), i havn't been able to connect (invalid), so ive just gone into my router and entered my new ISP's credentials (username/password, servers etc...), then hit connect and boom, were on :)
