Switching to new router (from BT Home Hub), need some advice please...

Hello,

I've had enough with this piece of junk, so I've decided to buy a nice new wireless router to replace it.

I really have 0 experience with wireless routers... From what I've been able to gather the Linksys WRT54GL is a good choice?

I just need a reliable, well priced, entry level wireless router, that can handle a couple of wireless devices connecting to it (all within my home).

Any advice on a suitable replacement would be most appreciated.

The WRT54GL would need an ethernet ADSL modem to go with it (or you could use the Home Hub, I guess).

The Billion BiPAC 7300G has good reviews and would provide everything in one box.

If not then a decent Ethernet ADSL modem and a WRT54GL running somthing like DD-WRT or Tomato firmware is also a very good combination.

OK thank you for the responses.

I definitely don't want to have to use a separate device for the modem etc. So something that performed all the tasks in one is required.

The Billion looks quite cool, but I've never heard of that brand before...

How about the NETGEAR DG834G? Is that any good?
