Sync speed and actual speed ?

Hello,

I am on ADSL 24 have been for 2 months now on the Home 30 package.

Great service for me so far, gaming is great no lag. ping bbc.co.uk under 20ms all the time no time outs

However speed tests show download speed of 2Mb no more.

But the router says its synced at,

Data Rate Down/Up 5760/448(Kbps)

Why does it not speed test at 5.5Mb ???

I am not a heavy user and have not gone over my 30Gb limit.

It could be one of a million reasons, including the possibility that you have a 2000kbps IP profile. You'd need to either run the BT Speedtest or ask ADSL24, via Enta, to obtain that.
