Hi All , Is anyone using it and what kinda speeds are you getting? My friend wants to get the PAYG Mobile Broadband in case her internet goes down and also to use when she goes out.

The T-Mobile PAYG options are

# 2 per day
# £7 per week (equivalent to £1 per day)
# £15 per month (equivalent to 50p* per day)

How does that work? does she need call them to pay £2 to use the internet for that day? also it says 2Gig fair use, is that per day or month?

Thanks.

On my t-mobile connection, I max out at about 380kbps. They advertise 4.5Mbps, but no matter where I go in the UK, 380kbps seems to be the maximum I can get.

The 2gig fair use thing will be for the whole month.

Another option is to just buy the usb stick, and use your mobile phone's sim card in it. The maximum you can be charged for internet usage is £1 per day, even on PAYG. It's not a bad option if you only want it as a short term back-up connection for travelling or if your main internet goes down. Just don't go crazy on the torrents.

lol didn't realise you have stick a Sim into the dongle, she'll only use it for checking emails and some generally surfing so should be alright. The Sim card option does sound better, the T-mobile website is down atm so will check it out later. Is a specific dongle she should looking for all are they all the same?
