Hello chaps, i'm considering a new contract and the relax 25 with t-mobile seems pretty good for my needs.

However, do they lock their phones and fill them full of branded customised crap?

If so then i may go for o2.

Locked - Yes

T-Mobile Branding:
Software - Yes
Physical - Yes, Logo's (Except W800i)

Depending on the phone you could flash the software and also remove the logos by changing the covers

Pants, looks like it's o2 for me then. I want to get the w810 and i don't think i can be arsed with flashing things.
