Is it a good thing that I have recently started buying clothes that I havent seen worn by people before. Things such as G-Star jeans that are all slightly different from another model but set you back usually around £80+

Clothes are starting to put a dent in my pay packet as im buying more stuff like replay, g-star, diesel etc

anyone else 'falling into the trap' of these sorts of makes?

Yes and no. I'll treat myself to something really silly expensive like twice a year if I'm lucky.

The rest of the time I just go for things that look nice but are a bargain. As long as it looks nice and respectable I'll get it.

Stop being a fashion victim and just buy normal clothes, no one will notice either way so save the money.

Hell no! Bargain shops and sales 4tw :D

lol true, you can get a pair of jeans for £20 that is exactly the same (Apart from the name) as a £80 pair... so why pay the extra when u look good in cheaper stuff... mind you i did just spend £140 on clothes.... but tbh most i ever spent before was about £20 and i looked a bit of a hobo nerd :D

Buy what makes you happy.

Usually find more expensive clothes are better made even though you pay a cut for the label.

Nah all you pay for is the label. Primark + matalan + charity shops for me. You would be surprised what you can get if you have a decent eye for fashion.

If you're anything like me, YOU'LL notice, making the extra cost perfectly fine for that extra comfort or style. If you concentrate on decent makes you like that fit well & are of a nice quality, they'll last decently too.

Of course it's fine to buy lesser/ non-branded stuff to mix & match too.

Instead of going on 1 massive shop a year pop into the bargain stores every time you go into town. If you see somethingf you like, get it. Keeps you up to date and fashionable rather then waiting till your next big shopping trip

But seriously, even if you are a person after quality and believe that you get what you pay for, you have to agree that brands such as Replay are horribly horribly over priced. £80 for what is basically a cotton T-shirt? No thanks.

There was a show on tv a while ago which compared budget shops clothing to expensive ones. They found the difference to be neglible. Comfort depends more on whether the cut/style fits you well.

I see where this arguement is going and the general direction of the thread, just like the sunglasses one.

Basically nobody is going to agree, don't give a cack what anyone says, buy clothes you like and enjoy yourself.

You sound like my lass, she goes to Matalan (at least once a week) and comes back with enough stuff to clothe a small country for about £2.19 :/

I dont buy many clothes, but I'm past the stage of paying stupid prices for things. Dont see the point anymore.
