Looking at getting a 24" monitor, preferably at 1920x1200 - is it worth getting the Samsung T240 while it's on offer or is there anything better out there or on the horizon?
out of stock
iv got the 2233bw which is the 22 inch version of the 2433 24 inch big brother. im into gaming a lot and id imagine itl be fantastic at that res. if not that then the s2409w my friend has is pritty sweet 2
Yea, read a lot about the 2409 but still in two minds. Displayport is the way forward but wouldn't want to splash out on a 2408 so ideally wanted 1920x1200.
I've got a T240, beautiful monitor. Viewing angles are a little harsh (But if ur sitting straight on at it, it's fine). Not had any ghosting in-game. I use both the DVI input for the PC, and HDMI input for the PS3. Both work, and display fine .
Speaking of this week only offers, you should give this Dell 2209WA some serious consideration. It uses a better quality eIPS panel giving it much better viewing angles and image quality than the T240 or the s2409w, though the trade-off is that its 2 inches smaller - a very good trade in my opinion.
As for displayport, if DVI-D and HDMI can carry more than enough bandwidth to a FullHD monitor, why is displayport required? If you want to "futureproof" get a graphics card with a displayport output and use it when monitors come along with enough pixels to justify its use.
